  • Costa bends in sublime long-range effort

  • Hazard drills in low through Forster at the near post

  • Austin has goal dissallowed for offside in second half

  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

    Everton 1-0 West Ham

Andre Ayew came off the bench against Chelsea in midweek and he does so again here. He suffered a bad thigh injury in August and this is his first league outing since. I like Ayew, he's a busy little hustler on the pitch. Pedro Obiang makes way.

  2. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Everton 1-0 West Ham

It has taken West Ham nine minutes to really threaten since the goal. Michail Antonio shows good feet near the edge of the area. He knows he's over run the ball though and hence goes down under a challenge to take a free-kick in a dangerous area.

Step forward Dimitri Payet. He gets it wrong not once but twice, driving his shot into the wall and then skewing the rebound away from goal.

  3. West Ham nemesis Lukaku strikes againpublished at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2016

Maximillian Poole: Lukaku is to West Ham what Les Ferdinand is to Everton

David Simpson: Lukaku ALWAYS scores against the Hammers.

Les Ferdinand scored 16 times against Everton during his career, more than any other player. Lukaku has scored nine goals in 11 games against West Ham already..

    Everton 1-0 West Ham

Everton have had 75% of the ball since this second period started. Yannick Bolasie is not helping that number though as his attempt at a Rabona pass is truly awful. One for the bloopers reel.

  5. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Everton 1-0 West Ham

Ross Barkley has been a man under the microscope ever since he was left out of the England squad early in the new season. What he's offering up here though is solid. He's contributing consistently. A shot from 20 yards bends just over the bar.

  6. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Everton 1-0 West Ham

Romelu Lukaku has now scored in seven straight Premier League games against West Ham. They must be sick of him.

How will they respond? Pedro Obiang is booked for a foul on Ross Barkley.

No real impetus from the Hammers yet, Everton seeing all the ball since the goal and keeping it wisely.

  7. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Everton 1-0 West Ham

That is the fifth time Yannick Bolasie and Romelu Lukaku have combined for a goal this season. They had some sort of planned celebration.  Their friendship is blossoming and it's going to help Everton no end.

GOAL - Everton 1-0 West Hampublished at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2016

    Romelu Lukaku (50 mins)

Romelu Lukaku loves playing against West Ham as we told you earlier and he will not get an easier finish than this.

Adrian parries a Seamus Coleman shot and as Winston Reid is about to hack clear, Yannick Bolasie slides him to keep the ball alive. With Adrian grounded, it's just a simple nod over the line for Lukaku.

His 50th Everton goal in the Premier League. Now, what's that saying? 'Goals change games'. Let's hope so.

    Everton 0-0 West Ham

There have been plenty of corners in this one so far. We have our ninth in 48 minutes and it will be Kevin Mirallas to deliver. Woeful. Adrian comes from his line, has an espresso, reads a page of the match programme and then catches it.

  10. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Everton 0-0 West Ham

I've been impressed with Pedro Obiang for West Ham. He's a powerful runner and a right nuisance. He's the type of player you're just going to want to kick at some point as he doesn't let up.

His early flick on from a corner deflects wide. He wants a corner but gets a goal kick.

Dimitri Payet had three shots and created three chances in the first period. His side only managed seven. Where would they be without him?

Some of you are asking on #bbcfootball for a look at the Adrian tights. This is the best image we have so far. He'd be fine at some sort of 60s disco in those. There are a few such venues on Matthew Street in Liverpool. Get yourself down there after the game old boy.

  15. Will there be goals?published at 14:27 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2016

    Everton 0-0 West Ham

Mangel: What a terrible advert for premier league football this is.

Kyle: This has to be one of the best 0-0 games I have seen in a while. That said there are definitely goals in this match.

Lee M Jayne: Not sure if there's going to be a goal in this game. Going through the motions.

Lots of different opinions so far, but what do you think? Boring 0-0 or a great battle? Will there be goals? Send us your thoughts on #bbcfootball on Twitter.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:18 Greenwich Mean Time 30 October 2016

    Everton 0-0 West Ham

Highlights reel would contain a Pedro Obiang miss and a Ross Barkley shot expertly saved by Adrian. Other than that we will file that under the 'could do better' category.

Still, this is football and the best games often explode into life. Here's hoping. Go get a brew or some of that trick or treat chocolate you are meant to give away tomorrow.

  18. Postpublished at 45+1 mins

    Everton 0-0 West Ham

West Ham on the prowl before the interval, Dimitri Payet leading the charge and wriggling in the area. He drives into the box, then rolls his man when he briefly has his back to goal. That's enough for shooting space...great block. That would have been some time to score.

  19. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Everton 0-0 West Ham

The fourth official indicates one added minute as the ball pings around like a pin ball in midfield. Not much quality on show there. Let's get a half-time brew eh-ref? This is ugly.

Kyle: Very impressed with West Ham so far. Excellent slick football, the only concern is they're not ahead.

Nova Scotia Toffees: Starting to look better here. Only took 20 minutes to form a groove. Will need to work on that. Come on you Blues!
