A flurry of activity brings Manchester United two penalties, two goals and two scorers.

What was interesting though was how many people wanted to capture the image on their phones rather than be content with seeing Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial score.

It is a point Gary Neville made at Anfield on Monday. The behaviour of supporters is changing.

David de Gea has been a virtual spectator all game but Michael Carrick loses the ball and brings the Spaniard into play. Fener switch the ball out to the left, Souza steps inside a lunge and gets off a low shot which De Gea turns away.

The Old Trafford crowd have had plenty of experience of being bored in recent times and there's a few jeers as they take an age to pass it out of their back four. Paul Pogba then picks out a great ball to find Matteo Darmian but his cross is poor.

It has not been the greatest game so far.

Both managers are in their technical area in their big coats.

Mourinho (black, no hood) has his hands in his pockets. Advocaat (blue, hood) has his behind his back.

They last met in May 2015, at Stamford Bridge, when they were in charge of Chelsea and Sunderland. Chelsea won 3-1.

Southampton

Southampton captain Virgil van Dijk: "It is very tough. We were the team that deserved it most. You can see the goal was their only chance and it is frustrating, we should have buried the game in the first half.

"There was only one team who deserved to win but in the end that is football. 

"I am a winner. I want to win and when you see things not go well it was frustrating. I had a big chance and was unlucky and as well with the header but we should have finished the game in the first half.

"We had so many opportunities to win the game but now we need to move on, recover well and be ready for Man City."

On Inter Milan's goal: "We should have stopped the cross. There was a lot of movement. We were a bit unlucky and it was their only chance and to concede is tough."

Wayne Rooney is nominally playing as a central striker again tonight but he's still coming deep for the ball at times. 

I'd like to see the TV cameras overlay a 'ghost' video of Rooney in 2004 on the screen, see the difference in his movement.
