Jose Mourinho will not be in the Manchester United dug-out tonight after receiving a one-match touchline ban for kicking over a water bottle during Sunday's 1-1 draw with West Ham.

Normally in such circumstances, Mourinho would watch from the directors' box.

However, after his dismissal at the weekend, it is understood he saw the remainder of the game in the dressing room.

An executive box is another possibility. Or maybe not even here at all, although that is rather unlikely.

The point is, as any reporter who has tried to send a match report back from here can testify, communication through a mobile phone is not always easy.

With results not going his way, is the Manchester United manager under pressure?

Jose Mourinho will be absent for tonight's game after being given a one-match touchline ban and fined £16,000 after he was sent off in his side's 1-1 draw against West Ham on Sunday.

The 53-year-old was sent to the stands by referee Jon Moss after kicking a water bottle in frustration.

It is the second charge for the Portuguese in two months after he was sent off against Burnley on 29 October. Mourinho received a one-match ban and an £8,000 fine for that incident.

Five is also the magic number for Slaven Bilic. The Hammers manager brings Winston Reid back into the side as skipper, regular armband-wearer Mark Noble dropping to the bench.

Old Trafford academy graduate Ashley Fletcher makes his second Hammers start up front, with keeper Adrian, midfielder Edimilson Fernandes and winger Sofiane Feghouli.

These two sets of players will be very familiar with each other after meeting just three days ago. However, a few new faces have appeared.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho makes five changes as Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Michael Carrick and Luke Shaw all start.

Bastian Schweinsteiger does not get his first taste of playing football since the summer. Yet, at least. He starts on the bench.

Midfielders Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini will both miss the game due to suspension.

Both were booked for the fifth time this season when the teams drew 1-1 in the Premier League on Sunday.

West Ham striker Diafra Sakho, who scored at Old Trafford at the weekend, is out with a hamstring injury.

  7. BREAKING TEAM NEWSpublished at 19:02 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2016

Arsenal make 10 changes, with only Mohamed Elneny surviving from the weekend's game against Bournemouth.

Striker Charlie Austin is rested by Southampton so Shane Long comes in.

Slowly but surely, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is beginning to gain favour and starts for Manchester United.

Former Red Devils Ashley Fletcher is up front for West Ham.

Full team news from both games to come.

Manchester United and West Ham only met on Sunday, at the same venue, as the Hammers came from behind to claim a point in the Premier League.

The result left midfielder Ander Herrera angry, saying his side will be looking to gain "revenge" on Wednesday.

Jose Mourinho will be licking his lips at the prospect...while sat in the stands.

And they'll have to do it without two of their big boys.
