  1. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Scotland 0-1 Portugal

Just to remind you, if it stays like this, Scotland would be bottom of Group D with one match remaining, a meeting with Spain on Thursday.

They would need England to beat Spain tonight or they would be out of the Euros.

  2. A question of confidencepublished at 56 mins

Portugal look like a different side from the one that played the first half hour of this match. I was watching them thinking we are certain to win this match because they didn't look confident on the ball, but ever since they scored their confidence has grown massively

  3. SUBSTITUTION (Scotland)published at 55 mins

    Scotland 0-1 Portugal

Here's the substitution for Scotland then, and forward Lana Clelland makes way for youngster Erin Cuthbert, who can play in midfield or in a more forward role.

It looks like she might be going up front, but Scotland are now tecnically playing without a recognised out-and-out striker, so to speak.

    Scotland 0-1 Portugal

Portugal play the corner short and work it nicely in to the area, but Tatiano Pinto's shot is blocked.

  7. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Scotland 0-1 Portugal

Portugal's goal scorer Carolina Mendes does well down their right-hand side and wins the first corner of the second half.

  8. YELLOW CARD (Portugal)published at 47 mins

    Scotland 0-1 Portugal

Sporting CP winger Diana Silva goes into the referee's book for a high boot.

  9. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Scotland 0-1 Portugal

There were no changes for either side at the break, so Scotland remain in a 4-1-4-1 formation, although it's been a flexible one so far.

  10. Second halfpublished at 46 mins

    Scotland 0-1 Portugal

Portugal get the second half started. There are around three thousand people in Rotterdam for this one.

Scotland's players are back out on the field for the second half well before their Portuguese counterparts.

Can they turn this around and rescue their Euros hopes?

  12. A decisive second half?published at 17:57 British Summer Time 23 July 2017

    HT: Scotland 0-1 Portugal

If it stays like this, Scotland would need England to win tonight to avoid going out of the tournament. A draw for Spain, or a win, would eliminate Scotland.

Should England win, Scotland would still then need a big win of their own against Spain in their final group game to have any hope of going through.

So these next 45 minutes are absolutely crucial for Anna Signeul's side, in their first ever major tournament.

  13. 'Errors have cost Scotland'published at 17:54 British Summer Time 23 July 2017

A couple of errors have cost this side who, on the whole, have been performing better, managing to keep Portugal's top players like Claudio Neto relatively quiet.

But they haven't quite managed to put the finishing touches on their efforts, despite putting in the graft.

They need to come back out in this second half with their heads high if they are to turn this around, get the ball up to Lana Clelland who is surely due a goal after several frustrating attempts earlier on.

Scotland had chances in that first half, the best of which fell to Lana Clelland at the far post, but it's Carolina Mendes' goal that separates the two sides. She netted with Portugal's only meaningful effort at goal from open play.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 45 mins

    Scotland 0-1 Portugal

There's no stoppage time at the end of the first half and so the whistle goes promptly on 45 minutes.

Scotland head in to the dressing room needing to find a way to turn their tournament hopes around.

If it stays like this, they're hopes of staying in the Euros will be very slim indeed.

Andrew Tebb: Surely Cuthbert should be starting for Scotland?

Chelsea Ladies' 19-year-old midfielder Erin Cuthbert did look sharp when she came on from the bench in Scotland's first game, and you'd expect we'll see her feature at some point later this afternoon Andrew, especially if Scotland remain behind. She's certainly a great option to have on the bench, and perhaps unlucky not to have started.

Diana Silva's quick feet are creating some issues for Scotland at the back, and she wins a free-kick two yards outside the penalty area.

    This looks dangerous.

  19. Problems with the final ballpublished at 40 mins

    Scotland 0-1 Portugal

Former Scotland captain Julie Fleeting: "I think it's just the final ball. We're getting into great areas, we're managing to gain possession high up the pitch, but it's that final ball, that killer pass or that shot on goal that hasn't been executed correctly to get our first goal in the tournament."

  20. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Scotland 0-1 Portugal

Portugal are now enjoying their best spell of possession so far in this match.

As it stands in Group D, they'd be joining England and Spain on three points if it stays like this, but would have played one game more.
