Glenn Murray should score! He gets up well to win a header, clean as a whistle, but it's into the side-netting. That was Brighton's route back into the game.

Arsenal are on the sort of good ish run that keeps Wenger in a job but not title winning or improving. It will keep the same old, same old happening for a while longer.

    Jamaal Lasceles

I had a chat with Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles for Football Focus a few weeks back and he’s a really impressive guy. He will work his socks off for you!

He’s on the cover of the match programme and inside talks about his basketball days. He pretty much grew up playing basketball but it was his parents who decided that he should switch to football.

That's not worked out too badly...

Great defending! Alexis Sanchez plays in Alexandre Lacazette, lovely weight of pass, the Frenchman rolls Lewis Dunk initially, gets a left-footed shot away but Dunk recovers to get a leg across and block.

A classic Premier League fixture this one and there’s not a seat to be had in both the stands and press box.

Three thousand Liverpool fans have made the trip and they as usual will be camped up with the gods with views across the city centre, a complete sellout.

The press box is also rammed with reporters from all over the globe; Croatia, India, China, Russia, and Malaysia to name just a few.

Everton have too many number 10s.

If Rooney doesn't play there, would you ask him to play wide? He is not the player with the stamina he once had.

For me, Rooney plays nine or 10 or he comes on as an impact player.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 63 mins

Brilliantly done. Alexis Sanchez weaves in from the left and snakes a low shot into the far corner, but Mat Ryan and Lewis Dunk combine to just about claw it off the line.

From the corner Sead Kolasinac has a header cleared off the line by Solly March. Arsenal could be out of sight!
