  1. No way out for Stokepublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2017

    Chelsea 2-0 Stoke City

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on Final Score

Chelsea have flown under the radar a little bit this season, even though they're champions, just because of what other teams have done. But they've been in great form, and they're a shoe in to finish second for me.

Stoke are struggling massively in this game, it's difficult for two young full-backs, and Geoff Cameron is playing out of position - it's a big ask for Stoke's backline. Chelsea are just peppering their goal at the moment, and there's no way out for Stoke.

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2017

    Bournemouth 0-0 Everton

First real chance of the game as Callum Wilson rattles in a shot but Jordan Pickford beats it clear.

  3. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2017

    Liverpool 0-1 Leicester

Liverpool live dangerously at the back as they leave Jamie Vardy one on one with the last man - before the Reds have the ball in the net at the other end!

Andrew Robertson's cross from the left is lovely and buried by Sadio Mane - but he's a yard offside.

  4. Postpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2017

    Newcastle 0-0 Brighton

Still no goals at St James' Park but Brighton have their first opportunity of the game as Shane Duffy heads over from a corner.

  5. Postpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2017

    Bournemouth 0-0 Everton

I surely speak for us all when I say it's great to see Aaron Lennon back to his jinking best - the Everton man gets around his full-back superbly but his cross is well cut out. This game still yet to get firing.

  6. Postpublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2017

    Chelsea 2-0 Stoke

No-way this game is finishing 2-0 as Chelsea twice go close to adding a third.

First, Alvaro Morata charges in from the right after Thibaut Courtois starts a quick attack but he is denied by Jack Butland at his near post before Danny Drinkwater sends a half-volley over the bar.

I believe Leicester are a far better all round side than Liverpool, maybe not attacking wise but I reckon this could be a good 3 points for City......he says fingers crossed.

    Liverpool 0-1 Leicester

A good game at Anfield as the hosts pile on the pressure - James Milner breaks into the area after a fortunate ricochet but Kasper Schmeichel is out quickly to smother at his feet.

Colin Lawton: Loves a goal against a big team does Jamie Vardy, unlike Romelu Lukaku...

Gary Dugdale: Yet another goal against a "big team" for Jamie Vardy.

  10. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2017

    Huddersfield 0-0 Burnley

Burnley are always a danger from set pieces - just ask Manchester United - and they have Huddersfield fans' hearts in their mouths following a free-kick.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson sends the ball into the middle of the area, Jonas Lossl does well to deny Kevin Long's header only for Jeff Hendrick to stab in the loose ball. The linesman has his flag up, though. Offside.

From one Brazilian to another as Philippe Coutinho rattles in a long-range drive which is easy enough for Kasper Schmeichel to catch.

Richarlison one of the signings of the summer?

  12. Richarlison the unconventional Brazilianpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2017

    Watford 1-0 Swansea

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on Final Score

I'm a really big fan of Richarlison, he's quite unconventional for a Brazilian the way he likes to get in behind, but he's done brilliantly there.

He's still a bit raw around the edges, we see that with the energy he shows, so one thing he can do to improve his game is add goals.

    Liverpool 0-1 Leicester

Superb defending from Harry Maguire! Liverpool send Mohamed Salah behind the defence, a situation which has invariably led to a goal this season, but as he shapes to shoot Maguire somehow gets back to make a crunching sliding challenge.

    Well played that man.

Nii: Have a drink, Danny. What a goal

Deldude: Oh, oh what a goal. Danny Drinkwater, what a way to open your scoring account for Chelsea. A goal of the season contender!

  16. Excellent goal from Drinkwaterpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2017

    Chelsea 2-0 Stoke City

    Alex Bruce
    Wigan defender on Final Score

Excellent goal. He's got that in his locker, Danny Drinkwater, anything around the box he'll be a threat and we've seen it again. He's controlled the spinning ball really nicely, and smashed it home.

  17. CLOSE!published at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2017

    Huddersfield 0-0 Burnley

First shot on target at the John Smith's Stadium and it's a belter. Collin Quaner, looking for his first Premier League goal for the club, drives at the Burnley defence before hitting a fierce effort that Nick Pope has to palm over.

GOAL - Watford 1-0 Swanseapublished at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2017

    Andre Carrillo (11 mins)

Watford lead! No surprise that Richarlison is at the heart of it, he bursts into the area on the left and shoots, Lukasz Fabianski gets a big hand on it but can only tip it into the air, and Andre Carrillo follows up smartly to head the loose ball home.

    Watford 0-0 Swansea

Close! Renato Sanches gifts possession in midfield, Watford look to break quickly and find danger man Richarlison on the left, he hits a low cross/shot which is crying out for a touch in the middle but it doesn't get one, and flies just wide in the process.

  20. goal

GOAL - Chelsea 2-0 Stokepublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2017

    Danny Drinkwater (10 mins)

What a way to score your first goal for the club!

Chelsea quickly add a second as Pedro's cross deflects to Danny Drinkwater on the edge of the area and the midfielder takes a touch before thumping a fine strike into the top corner.

Looks like a wasted trip south for Stoke fans this afternoon.
