  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2018

    Swansea 0-1 Tottenham

Good news at Swansea - it's not raining.

Bad news at Swansea - it's forecast to start raining even heavier than before in around 10 minutes.

The hosts make a change as Angel Rangel is replaced by Luciano Narsingh, who scored the late winner against Watford last-time out.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2018

    Southampton 1-0 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace made a change at half time with skipper Yohan Cabaye making way for Patrick van Aanholt.

Just one shot on target for Palace in the first half. They'll need to be better in attack if they are to avoid kicking off 2018 with a defeat.

Sean: It is beyond a joke now - Premier League football being ruined by poor refereeing! The seriousness & quality has to improve. Swansea, rock bottom, robbed by an incorrect decision. Hope they get justice.

    Swansea 0-1 Tottenham

BBC Sport Wales at the Liberty Stadium

If you needed confirmation of just how wet it has been at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea and Tottenham's players have emerged for the second half in fresh new kits.

The rain is a little less heavy but their earlier downpour means the pitch here is cutting up in parts, a rarity for Swansea.

  5. CLOSE!published at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2018

    West Ham 0-1 West Brom

    Terrible miss by Andy Carroll!

Marko Arnautovic puts it on a plate for his team with a great ball in from the right, Carroll sticks out a boot but pokes over the bar from close range.

Carroll looks frustrated with himself and so he should.

    West Ham 0-1 West Brom

    Alistair Bruce-Ball
    BBC Radio 5 live

West Ham's first half performance was met with a chorus of boos by some of the home support but Ben Foster has made a couple of good saves to keep Manuel Lanzini out and I'm sure Adrian would have saved James McClean's shot had it not taken a huge deflection.

David Moyes has decided to bring Mark Noble on at half-time in place of Pedro Obiang as West Brom go looking for their first win under Alan Pardew and their first win in 20 Premier League games.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2018

    Man City 2-0 Watford

Sergio Aguero, unmarked in the Watford box and with loads of time, hits a tame effort straight at Heurelho Gomes. Should have done better.

That's the last action of the half. City in control.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2018

    West Ham 0-1 West Brom

Just getting back under way in the 7:46pm kick offs and there's a change for West Ham, Mark Noble replacing Pedro Obiang.

    Man City 2-0 Watford

Half a chance for Watford as Etienne Capoue pounces on a loose ball but shoots straight at Ederson. It's not quite been all one way traffic.

Ryan: Marco Silva has 9 injured players and Deeney suspended, no wonder Watford are struggling. He hasn’t just turned in to a bad manager overnight!

Kyle: As good as City are Watford’s performance is gutless the defending is abysmal 2 shocking goals which they have conceded. Total joke.

Chris: A long journey for Spurs fans, a long night for Watford fans, night of the long knives in Stoke, and a Long overdue goal for the Saints!

  11. Postpublished at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2018

    Man City 2-0 Watford

Manchester City try their luck down the other side of the pitch this time as Kevin de Bruyne crosses low and hard for Sergio Aguero at the near post, but his first-time effort is straight at Heurelho Gomes, who then gets caught by his team-mate Molla Wague while he was attempting to cut out the cross.

  12. 'Fluent Spurs'published at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2018

    Swansea 0-1 Tottenham

    John Hartson
Former Arsenal striker on 5 Live

Tottenham's fluency has been outstanding but their lack of shots on goal will be of concern to Pochettino. Swansea started really poorly but they've finished the half quite positively - they now need to regroup and come out much better in the second half.

  13. Postpublished at 20:38 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2018

    Man City 2-0 Watford

Daryl Janmaat versus Leroy Sane has been a horrible match up from a Watford perspective, with the latter causing havoc down the left.

Sane breezes past Janmaat to get into the area, his cut back is stabbed back to him but the winger quickly finds David Silva on the edge of the area, who shoots high and wide.

  14. Postpublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2018

    Man City 2-0 Watford

Still going at Manchester City, of course, with that game having kicked off 15 minutes later than the rest.

The hosts currently have Watford pegged back on the edge of their box but the Hornets' defence is doing a reasonable job of shutting out opportunities after looking all at sea in the first 20 minutes.

Christopher: West Ham are playing like 11 men who were introduced to each other 10 minutes before the game.

Lex: You can always rely on West Ham to help teams break their unwanted runs, must still be in a festive mood.

    West Ham 0-1 West Brom

West Brom are having success down the left flank, with James McClean constantly running at the home defence.

That led to the opening goal as he picked up the ball on the left, and with the home defenders backing off, was allowed to run at West Ham before scoring with a deflected strike from just outside the box.

Seth: So what happened to Marco Silva? Since being linked to the Everton job that Big Sam eventually got, his team has been very inconsistent!

Mohammed: Watford really have been struggling in their past performances and you can see why. It is absolutely atrocious the way they defend. It is going to be a long long night...
