Bristol City have shown enough in their cup run this season to suggest that they would be an excellent addition to the Premier League, in my opinion anyway. I wonder if they can make it up.

Bristol City do now look more threatening, as sub Famara Diedhiou hits a low shot straight at Claudio Bravo. They need to score four to go through though.

Wonderful goal from Sergio Aguero, it really was. I make that 23 for the season for club and country. Are they going to miss not signing Alexis Sanchez?Not this season I don't think.

What a pass, what a finish! It was great counter-attacking, and De Bruyne's been brilliant at that all night. He burst forward then checked back onto his right foot and the pass to Aguero was inch perfect. It wasn't an easy angle for Aguero, the keeper was in a good position and the defender was closing him down but he just whipped it, with pace, into the far corner.

Bristol City have thrown their eggs into a 4-4-2 shaped basket and now it means that every time they lose the ball Manchester City look like scoring on the break. Kevin de Bruyne has a 20-yarder saved at the end of the latest wave.

The introduction of record signing Famara Diedhiou - only just recently back from a lengthy knee injury - is a really interesting one. He's physical and strong, yet has decent feet. It's a very different type of threat.
