Dave: Spurs have showed they belong in this company.

Ruz: Well. I'll take a 2-2 draw in in Turin. Two away goals to take back to London, and aside from a poor opening 10 minutes, a great performance matching Juve.

Rob: Where are all the doom and gloom merchants now. 2-2 is a massive result and makes Spurs favourites. Always support your team

  2. 'Spurs by far the better side'published at 21:41 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2018

    Juventus 2-2 Tottenham

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

For 80 minutes Tottenham have been the better team. Gonzalo Higuain had chances but didn’t take them. Let’s be honest, Tottenham played all the football, were constantly in the Juventus’ half, and could have scored two more. They were by far the better side over 90 minutes.

Anon: If Kane has added another zero to his value what about Pochettino?

Axel: And after all those negative comments against Tottenham, boom, 2-2. Sometimes people forget Poch is the coach.

Nick: Poch is a better manager than Pep.

    Basel 0-4 Man City

Fight. Fight. Fight. No wait, officially we don't want to see this kind of thing. That's what journalists and commentators have to say, isn't it?

Both sets of players kick off in Basel after Geoffroy Serey Die founds Ilkay Gundogan. Both players get booked - but none of the others who piled in do.

Aaron: This is what happens when an dated Juve team plays a young Spurs!

Francis: To be fair, Juve are missing like half of the first choice XI.

Anon: I await all the comments that Juve aren’t the team they used to be; like Madrid & Dortmund. Spurs have shown mettle tonight.

    Juventus 2-2 Spurs

Douglas Costa flies down the left and puts in an excellent cross but Jan Vertonghen does really well to cut it out. The resulting corner comes to nothing.

Anon: What a game this has been! Don't want it to end!

I'd normally agree with you, anon, but I've got to get home for pancakes tonight.

Medhi Benatia attacks a Miralem Pjanic corner but heads over from the crossbar from about six yards out. He was under pressure from Spurs' defenders to be fair.

Mollie: Spurs have been excellent tonight and they fully deserve to be level. Buffon probably should have saved that though.

Lotak: Makes you wonder where spurs could be if they hadn't given Juve a two-goal head start inside 10 minutes.

Nick: So much negativity, so little faith, the have nothing to fear, young, vibrant and deadly. COYS.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2018

    Juventus 2-2 Spurs

    Here comes the Son.

Heung-min replaces Dele Alli, who assisted the opener and won the free-kick for the second.

    Juventus 2-2 Spurs

Spurs break but Dele Alli gets his pass to Ben Davies wrong. The Spurs left-back, channeling his inner Jordi Alba, would have been in there.

Kolo: If Higuain had not missed that sitter and the penalty, scores would have been 4-2 by now. But they let Spurs in to this match, of their own doing

Flaxman: If anything exposes how poor the quality is in Serie A, this game offers further proof of that. Spurs in a different class to anyone else in that league. Juve looked shocked.

Anon: Tottenham are ruthlessly testing out Buffon from range, it rarely happens and while his decision-making's still sharp, his agility is down.
