That was the last kick of the half. Relief for Spurs going into the dressing rooms.

  4. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2018

    Juventus 2-1 Spurs

Amazing. Gonzalo Higuain has a chance to wrap up a first-half hat-trick but slams the ball off the crossbar. It was right down the centre of the goal. Huge let-off for Spurs.

    Basel 0-3 Man City

Not lots to report from Switzerland, City are dominating - without knocking on the door really - and the hosts aren't doing much in all truth.

Evan: Can't believe the number of people writing Spurs off after eight minutes. Two 90-minute matches to be played - nothing is settled in the first eight minutes...

Al: To all those doom merchants in total despair after nine minutes - get a grip. It's over 180 minutes not nine.

    Juventus 2-1 Spurs

Christian Eriksen shoots from distance but it's parried away by Gianluigi Buffon. That's Spurs' fourth shot on target - to Juventus' two.

Now another chance as Dele Alli heads onto the roof of the net from close range.

The English side have had 69% of the ball and played twice as many passes as Juventus.

  11. 'Tottenham starting to believe'published at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2018

    Juventus 2-1 Tottenham

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Give Tottenham credit for the character they’ve shown.

I feared for them after 10 minutes. In the final third there just didn’t seem to be any quality early on, but you can see they’re starting to believe.

  12. Kane equals English recordpublished at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2018

    Juventus 2-1 Spurs

Harry Kane has equalled the record for the most goals scored by an English player in a single Champions League season (seven), level with Steven Gerrard in 2008-09.

  13. 'Kane was never going to miss'published at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2018

    Juventus 2-1 Tottenham

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Great pressure from Tottenham, working hard in midfield to win the ball back. Dele Alli releases the ball at the right time, Kane gets around Buffon, wraps his left foot around it and scores.

Once he pushed it past Buffon, he was never going to miss.

    Juventus 2-1 Spurs

Harry Kane is only the second player in 17 games to score against Juventus - and the first in 2018.

Martín Caceres was the last to net against them, for Verona.

    Basel 0-3 Man City

A chance for four for City. Fabian Delph crosses and Kevin de Bruyne hits it first time on the bounce from 20 yards but it flies over the bar.

    Harry Kane (35 mins)

Have I mentioned just how much I love the Champions League knockout stages?

Dele Alli plays in Harry Kane and this time Gianluigi Buffon gets it wrong. The Juventus keeper has come flying off his line and Kane is able to step past him at the edge of the box and guide the ball into the empty net.

    Basel 0-3 Man City

Raheem Sterling gets the ball in the box and tries to go round keeper Tomas Vaclik, who does really well to put him off and deny him a shooting opportunity.
