PSG 0-0 Real Madrid (1-3 agg)

Real Madrid are coughing the ball up a lot at the moment. Nerves?

They do go forward but Marco Asensio's cross - which might have been going in - is held by PSG keeper Alphonse Areola.

    Now PSG have a corner...

Angel di Maria crosses - it's headed away by Raphael Varane. It comes back to Di Maria, who tries a rabona cross (that's kicking it with one leg behind the other). It doesn't work. Time and a place, Angel.

PSG 0-0 Real Madrid (1-3 agg)

A tasty atmosphere at the Parc des Princes. But is it the final Champions League game of the season in Paris?

PSG left-back Yuri Berchiche - who I'm basically contractually obliged to tell you once had a loan spell at Cheltenham - is almost in on goal from a through ball but Keylor Navas comes sliding off his line to deny him.

John Logan: I understand Klopp resting Robertson but the lad signed to play in these type of games. Feel sorry for him not to even make the bench. Moreno makes one mistake, it's going to be a very long night for him.

Fergal Murtagh: I think Real Madrid will surprise a lot of people this year. They are going to win it again this year.

  16. Unstoppable Ronaldo?published at 19:43 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2018

PSG v Real Madrid (19:45 GMT, 1-3 first leg)

Even for Cristiano Ronaldo, his current scoring streak is unreal.

At the age of 33, he has scored 10 goals in his last five games in all competitions - 14 in his last eight.

He has bagged 21 goals in his last 12 games in the Champions League - including 11 in seven this season.

Ronaldo became the first player to ever score in all six group games - and then in the first leg against PSG became the first player to bag 100 goals for the same club in the Champions League (and then added a 101st).

He is the top scorer in the history of the tournament with 116 goals.

The players are just about to come out of the tunnel.

Sometimes it can feel like there's too much football - but not tonight. Buzzing for this.

Can PSG do a lesser version of what Barcelona did to them last season?

Paris St-Germain right-back Dani Alves - a former Barcelona star - wants to "send a message to Europe" by ending Real Madrid's Champions League defence.

"It's a challenge for us, an opportunity to change the course of our history and eliminate the holders of the title.

"We could have had a better result in the first leg. We were superior in the game and had the better chances. It made us think we can knock them out.

"There is no greater motivation. We are going to try to knock out a strong opponent and send a message to Europe. "We have to start the match with this mentality. We have to believe and we have to do it."

On the absence of his fellow Brazilian Neymar, he said: "Either we sit down and cry, or we get up and do what we have to do."

  20. 'I never tire of winning things'published at 19:40 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2018

PSG v Real Madrid (19:45 GMT, 1-3 first leg)

Real Madrid captain Sergio RamosImage source, Getty Images

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos: "We've come here to offer the best possible account of ourselves and give every last ounce out there.

"The Champions League is one of our favourite competitions. We took the first step at the Bernabeu and we've now got to try and finish the job off in the best possible fashion.

"When there's no margin for error it makes it like a cup final and this is one of those games.

"I retain the same excitement as when I started out, although my trophy haul is now rather different. I never tire of winning things and try to freshen myself up and get up for every game and go for every piece of silverware."
