  1. CLOSE!published at 6 mins

    Barcelona 1-0 Chelsea (agg: 2-1)

Having fallen behind, Chelsea respond well and gain a free-kick down the left.

Willian whips it in, low towards the front post, and it almost sneaks in via a deflection, but hits the sidenetting.

Antonio Conte said 'we have to suffer' and Chelsea are suffering. It's the worst possible start. They sat in and said 'you're going to have to play through us' and Barcelona have got through.

Lionel Messi somehow found a way past Thibaut Courtois at his near post. It is dreadful goalkeeping, he had no right to score from there. He goes down too slowly.

    Obviously him.

This is a terrible goal to concede and so early in the match.

Lionel Messi tries a one-two with Ousmane Dembele but Marcos Alonso fails to clear the ball from inside his own box.

It drops back to the Argentine - you don't want that - and he slips a right-footed finish in between the legs of Thibaut Courtois and into the net.

It was a very weak shot. Often so reliable, this is a moment goalkeeper Courtois will want to forget.

Max: We've done this before, just keep concentration levels high and hit them on the counter.

Bayo O: The Camp Nou is something else. The atmosphere is unbelievable. And the noise? I’m worried sick.

This is the sort of stage you want to play on as a player. I was unbeaten here on two occasions as a Celtic player. We had about 4% possession in those games mind.

This is a real opportunity for Chelsea and their big players to make a name for themselves. When you come out of the tunnel you are just concentrating on your job.

Science Student: Antonio Conte is a listener, not a cocky Jose Mourinho. No more false 9. Hazard now a happy man. Let the game begin!

Paul A: Trying to think of the last decent contribution Cesc Fabregas made for Chelsea. I can't and that just about sums it up.

I think Eden Hazard is someone that Real Madrid will come for in the summer.

He doesn't have to necessarily play well in the World Cup. Real Madrid have to try and catch Barcelona and he is the sort of player they will be looking at.

"Close him down," will be Barca boss Ernesto Valverde's instructions to his players when Willian has the ball at his feet.

Six of the Brazilian's nine Champions League goals for Chelsea have been from outside the box.

Since he joined the Blues in 2013, he has scored more from long range than any other player in the competition.

His opener in the first leg was delightful.

    Chelsea

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte tells BT Sport: "I think Olivier Giroud played a really good game with Eden Hazard and Willian and we want to try to do the same today. We have to play against a strong team and we must be ready with these players to work very hard, especially Eden and Willian. We have spoken about this decision and this is the best thing to do.

"In Giroud, are talking about an international player with great experience. That will be positive for us because we a re a young team facing a great team.

"When you play a very strong team like Barcelona, they like to dominate possession. You must be very good to keep calm and suffer. Usually, they have a lot of possession and the players do not like only to run, they like to have the ball."

Jon C: Big performance needed by Chelsea. A Barca goal doesn’t change much - so no reason to be timid. Work your socks off, and take your chances when they come. We’ve done this before!

James: I'm very happy indeed with Chelsea's lineup tonight. Antonio Rudiger over Gary Cahill, Victor Moses over Davide Zappacosta, Cesc Fabregas over Tiemoue Bakayoko, a striker over a false 9. Inspired.

Ernesto Valverde is a pragmatic manager, Barcelona are disciplined and difficult to beat. They have not lost a league game all season.

In the last 18 months under Luis Enrique they were accused of being two teams within a team, the front three and then the rest of the team with no real midfield.

Neymar has left as well but it has made them a more coherent team. They are just a bit more disciplined all the way round.

The players are out on the magnificent Nou Camp pitch going through their 'rondo' warm-ups.

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is the 'piggy in the middle', chasing after the ball as his team-mates pop it around him.

He is going to have an awful lot of chasing to do once the match starts. A big night for the Frenchman.
