  1. 'Conte derogatory towards Hazard'published at 19:18 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2018

    Barcelona v Chelsea (19:45 GMT)

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 live

What would worry me tonight a little is Eden Hazard's defensive responsibilities. But to get the best out of him, he prefers to play off the left cutting inside or as a number 10.

Antonio Conte was hardly endearing himself to Hazard yesterday.

It was a bit of a slap in face from Conte - talking him down. Coming into the game I just thought 'talk him up, he's your star player'. I'd have felt unhappy coming into the game if my manager had spoken like that, slightly derogatory, towards him.

Chelsea will "have to suffer" in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Barcelona, said Blues manager Antonio Conte.

"For the manager, for every coach, it is not simple to sleep a lot, especially before these types of games," he said.

"We have to concentrate, to stay with your head on the pitch in every moment and to know that there are moments we have to suffer. Not only Chelsea, but every team who plays Barcelona has to suffer.

"They have to be compact and when you have the ball you have to have the feeling in your heart to create the chance to score."

  4. Dembele suited to Barca?published at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2018

    Barcelona v Chelsea (19:45 GMT)

    Andy West
Spanish football writer at Nou Camp

The first game against Chelsea was the game this season where Barcelona have faced the most criticism.

Ousmane Dembele starts and he was a huge signing close to £100m. He's not had a good season, he's had injuries and not played much and he just doesn't look like a Barca player.

They play quick one and two touch football and he wants to get his foot on the ball look up and take players on. He gives them that direct penetration that they don't really have.

Mahamud: Called a few Man United fans last night. Expecting them to return the favor tonight. Am not optimistic about Chelsea tonight.

Benne: Conte has put out a team capable of matching Barca. Win or lose, Blues all the way so long as you put out your strongest team.

Wasiyullah: Yes! No more false 9!! Finally a strong XI against Barca. Hopefully Olivier Giroud will deliver on the big occasion. This is the game of the season for the Blues and we badly need this win. Hazard masterclass incoming

  7. 'Keep your best player onside'published at 18:59 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2018

    Barcelona v Chelsea (19:45 GMT)

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 live

    Nou Camp

I think Chelsea will approach the game as they did at Stamford Bridge, with caution and they will try to stay in the game and go from there.

It was a tactical masterclass last time from Antonio Conte playing a false nine but since then Eden Hazard has said he doesn’t like it and doesn't want to play there and Conte has to keep his best player onside.

You keep your best player, your match-winner where he is happiest and where he is most effective. The last six games Chelsea have played with a false nine they have drawn two and lost four.

Well, Facundo has said sorry and Roma have accepted the apology. Alls well that ends well.

  12. Wagner nets for Bayernpublished at 18:45 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2018

Bayern have another through substitute Sandro Wagner, who chests the ball into an open net from a yard out.

The German champions lead Besiktas 8-1 on aggregate. They hit Sporting Lisbon 12-1 in 2009, but there are only five minutes remaining in this one.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is getting a lot of stick from his side's fans for the way they went out of the Champions League on Tuesday - and rightly so.

Mourinho said afterwards he did not think United's performancein their defeat by Sevillawas bad but that does not tally with what I was watching.

United were very poor for almost the entire 90 minutes but it was not so much the way they set up or their formation that I could not understand - it was the way they went about playing the game without any real urgency or tempo.

Everything was done at a leisurely pace. Watching it, you would not have believed they had an opportunity to reach the last eight of the Champions League.

It was such a massive disappointment.
