    Uruguay 0-2 France

We're not in 'need a miracle' terriotory yet for Uruguay. But we're in the last service station before it.

They've had four shots on target - two more than France - but have only looked like scoring once, when Hugo Lloris made that superb save.

Suarez criticising ANYONE for play-acting is the epitome of hypocrisy.

    Uruguay 0-2 France

It's not Luis Suarez coming off, thought that would be an odd call. Jonathan Urretaviscaya replaces Nahitan Nandez.

It all opens up for him - and just over! Lovely effort from Corentin Tolisso but he bends one over the bar!

Simon: Somebody tell Mbappe that he doesn’t need to fake a challenge or an injury to be an effective player.

Kithmina: Mbappe is better than Neymar - both as a footballer AND an actor!

Garett: When Mbappe and Neymar joined the same team, we thought that maybe he'd learn a thing or two and improve his game. i guess we see what he's learned from Neymar...

Apparently Luis Suarez is going to be subbed off! He will not like that. Strange call. He's been quiet but he's a proven world-class finisher.

Paul Pogba raised a hand in that monster scuffle. There wasn't much in it but to use a cliche, 'you've seen them given.'

    Silly when on a booking.

It looked innocuous. Kylian Mbappe made a bit of a meal of it and Diego Godin was livid. Don't become a Neymar, Mbappe, but how can Luis Suarez have a pop at another player for that?

Pogba should be booked because he can't react like that either, but I told you there would be fireworks in this second half.

Kylian Mbappe and Cristian Rodriguez are booked. Let's see it again, ahhh that's poor from Mbappe! Rodriguez hardly touched him and he makes a total meal of it.

As Chris Sutton says, "dont be a Neymar."

Didier Deschamps is on the pitch, pulling Paul Pogba away. Heads are gone here.

Here we go! The powderkeg ignites. Kylian Mbappe gets a late challenge and makes the most of it, France kick it out and then Diego Godin steams across and starts a melee.

    Uruguay fuming.

It's been a tale of two goalkeepers. Save of the tournament by Hugo Lloris in the first half and then howler of the tournament by Fernando Muslera.

Antoine Griezmann has now scored seven goals in six appearances in knock-out stages of major tournaments and he has three at this World Cup.

It's an absolute shocker. You feel for Fernando Muslera but it's totally unacceptable at this level. Goalkeepers gobble those up in training, and it's straight at him, but he's had an absolute shocker. He has tried to palm away when he should just catch it.

    Antoine Griezmann

    GOALKEEPING HOWLER!

Oh dear me. Fernando Muslera does a Rob Green, a real clanger at the highest level.

Paul Pogba starts the move well, nipping in to bite the ball back on halfway, he drives forwards and feeds Antoine Griezmann about 25 yards out. He doesn't have much on so shoots. It's a good strike but straight at Muslera, he gets in the wrong position and just flaps at it, helping it through his fingers and forlornly over the line.

Uruguay loving Griezmann doesn't celebrate. Weird.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 60 mins

    Uruguay 0-1 France

Cristhian Stuani and Rodrigo Bentancur come off, Cristian Rodriguez and Maxi Gomez are on.

Dubbed “the new Luis Suarez”, Gomez took to La Liga like a duck to water this season following his €4.3m move from Defensor. Known for his cold-blooded finishing, in-box intelligence and robust nature, he scored twice on his Celta debut, in a 3-2 home defeat to Real Sociedad, and never looked back.

He scored equalising goals in 2-2 draws against Real Madrid and Barcelona and outshone Suarez in the latter.

Noel: I think we are watching the winners!

Johnny: If France want to change things up a bit or bring on some fresh legs they can look towards players like Lemar, Fekir, Dembele, Thauvin, Sidibe, Nzonzi & Mendy. That is outrageous depth!

    Dennis: Come on URUGUAY!
