  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Bournemouth 1-0 Cardiff

Charlie Daniels into the book. He really does go through the back of Junior Hoilett, who needs a bit of treatment before rejoining the game.

  3. goal

GOAL - Fulham 0-1 Crystal Palacepublished at 38 mins

    Jeffrey Schlupp

    Too easy, this.

The Fulham players are contend to sit back and not put pressure on the ball but are punished.

Full-back Patrick van Aanholt rolls a pass into the area for Jeffrey Schlupp, who turns on-loan defender Calum Chambers with ease, before rocketing a finish high into the roof at the front post.

Fulham cannot afford to defend this poorly for the rest of the season.

  4. Postpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Bournemouth 1-0 Cardiff

    Chance for Cardiff!

The ball is floated to the back post but the sliding Nathaniel Mendez-Laing cannot quite reach the ball. It took its time but this game is ticking along nicely now.

  5. 'Pereyra catches it right'published at 15:40 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Watford 1-0 Brighton

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on Final Score

It's a good goal for Watford and Roberto Pereyra is waiting round the back for the ball to be delivered. He just catches it right, and when that happens, it just keeps going until it hits the back of the net.

Alan: Huddersfield were always going to play with big numbers in defence and midfield. Add the ineffective Morata to the equation and the lack of fire power from both teams. One goal either way could win this.

Daniel: Tackle of the season from Kongolo on Willian, make sure it gets the coverage it deserves tonight. Bobby Moore-esque

Lee: Looking at this Chelsea team as a fan and i feel it's actual a good team, a keeper who wants to play for us, back four who are all solid (Luiz most time) middle three can all play and front three all deadly on day Morata has his confidence back and Eden for Pedro

  7. 'Just rewards'published at 15:39 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Bournemouth 1-0 Cardiff

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on Final Score

I think it was a harsh penalty awarded to Bournemouth and I think Callum Wilson goes down a little too easily. Maybe it was just rewards that he didn't score the spot kick.

  8. Postpublished at 15:39 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Bournemouth 1-0 Cardiff

Bother at Bournemouth. Something has been handed to one of the officials. Looks like it has been thrown from the stand containing the Cardiff fans.

Meanwhile, in the actual game, David Brooks goes down looking for another penalty but Kevin Friend says no. Think he's got it right as well. Joe Bennett was the challenger but while clumsy the Bournemouth man was looking for it.

  9. CLOSE!published at 15:39 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Fulham 0-0 Crystal Palace

Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey has been a busy man today.

The Welshman is called into action again and does well to palm away Aleksandar Mitrovic's effort.

  10. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Huddersfield 0-1 Chelsea

Huddersfield close to hitting back immediately.

The Terriers win a corner, which Aaron Mooy swings in to the back post, but Frenchman Steve Mounie's towering header strikes the inside of the far post.

Oh yes! Roberto Pereyra scores an absolute belter!

A corner from the left drifts high into the box, where the Hornets man is lurking before shaping himself and volleying the heck out of it. Mat Ryan gets a hand to it but only to push the ball into the roof of the net.

    Pick. That. out.

  12. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Bournemouth 1-0 Cardiff

Justice done in my mind. Callum Wilson takes the penalty himself but his low effort lacks power and Neil Etheridge dives to his left to push the ball behind.

GOAL - Huddersfield 0-1 Chelseapublished at 33 mins

    N'Golo Kante

    A collector's item here.

Fresh from claiming a World Cup winners' medal, N'Golo Kante gets Chelsea's first goal of the new season.

It is not going to win any beauty contests, as the Frenchman scuffs Willian's cross into the ground, but the ball bounces and finds the far corner of the net.

No chance for Huddersfield goalkeeper Ben Hamer.

  14. 'Superb header'published at 15:33 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Fulham 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 live

A superb header, Christian Benteke had no right to get his head to that, but gets off a looping header. Great save from Fabri.

When a lot of teams come up to the Premier League there's a fear factor, they want to defend.

That's not Fulham, that's not going to be Fulham. and that's whey they are a great addition to the Premier League.

  15. PENALTY TO BOURNEMOUTHpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Bournemouth 1-0 Cardiff

    Not sure about this one!

It is a crisp move that sets Callum Wilson running into the box. The striker looks to get his own feet in a tangle before going down. Replays show Bruno Ecuele Manga did get a touch on him but even so.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Fulham 0-0 Crystal Palace

Almost the opener at Craven Cottage...and visitors Crystal Palace nearly get it.

A couple of stepovers from Andros Townsend down the right before whipping a cross in which Christian Benteke meets, but the striker's looping header is tipped onto the bar by a flying Fabri save.

A superb stop by the new Fulham man.

  17. Postpublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Bournemouth 1-0 Cardiff

It's all Bournemouth. David Brooks twists and turns in the box, leaving a couple of Cardiff players dazed and confused. His low cross appears to come off a Bluebirds man before going behind but the ref gives the visitors some respite by calling goal-kick.

  18. 'Fraser was unmarked'published at 28 mins

    Bournemouth 1-0 Cardiff

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on Final Score

Cardiff were on the attack and Bournemouth broke against them. It was good movement from Callum Wilson, who played it back across goal into a dangerous area, and Ryan Fraser was unmarked.

  19. Postpublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Bournemouth 1-0 Cardiff

Bournemouth in the mood now. Joshua King picks up the ball on the right corner of the box and drives a low shot across goal and wide.

Cardiff need to steady the ship.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Watford 0-0 Brighton

Brighton forced into an early change. Bruno has had to go off. Looks like a hammy gone. Gaetan Bong replaces him, with Bernardo switching to right-back.
