    Huddersfield 0-0 Chelsea

Alex Pritchard takes the ball on his chest a la Marouane Fellaini and goes down in the box under David Luiz's challenge, but referee Chris Kavanagh waves away the appeals.

The ball breaks loose to Philip Billing, who fires over from 30 yards.

  2. 'The Chelsea bench is incredible'published at 15:25 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Huddersfield 0-0 Chelsea

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on Final Score

Chelsea are keeping the ball well. Alvaro Morata is finding space and Pedro is carrying the ball in dangerous areas. Difficult start for Huddersfield. The Chelsea bench is incredible with the likes of Eden Hazard waiting on the sidelines.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Chelsea

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has given a surprise start to Ross Barkley today and the ex-Everton man bursts forward towards the edge of the box but is dispossessed by a brilliant Aaron Mooy recovery challenge.

    On the board!

The Cherries are up and running with a very nicely-worked move. Callum Wilson drives deep into the box and cuts the ball back for the unmarked Ryan Fraser to smash in from close range.

  5. 'Zaha looks a danger'published at 15:22 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Fulham 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Wilfred Zaha looks fabulous and a danger, especially when Patrick van Aanholt joins the attack, but Crystal Palace are spending the vast majority of their time defending.

  6. 'Chances at both ends'published at 15:22 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Fulham 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on Final Score

What a game. Brilliant start with chances at both ends. Fulham are really impressive with the way they are moving the ball. Tom Cairney has developed into a top-class footballer.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Cardiff

Neil Warnock watches on sternly from the touchline at Bournemouth like a haunted owl. His side are doing OK so far, to be fair. Not really tested Asmir Begovic but they're giving as good as they get across the pitch.

    Watford 0-0 Brighton

Few would have Dale Stephens as first scorer at Watford but the Brighton defensive midfielder has just gone very close with a hooked volley past the far post.

  9. CLOSE!published at 15:20 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Huddersfield 0-0 Chelsea

    Ah, we have a save.

Huddersfield work the ball well to Alex Pritchard 25 yards out, but the shot is straight at Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

It was easy, but the Spaniard dealt with it cleanly, keeping his concentration.

We've seen some goalkeepers parrying those into their own net.

I think Fulham have a real chance of European qualification this season. Very impressed by them!

    Fulham 0-0 Crystal Palace

Hosts Fulham get a free-kick in a good position outside the box and Aleksandar Mitrovic grabs the ball, but plonks his effort straight into the Palace wall.

    Watford 0-0 Brighton

Mat Ryan was one of the division's top keepers last season and he looks keen to repeat that assessment this campaign. The ball breaks for Troy Deeney in the Brighton box but the Seagulls stopper stays calm, steps forward and calmly pushes away the Watford striker's goalbound effort. Top stuff.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Chelsea

A slow start at the John Smith's Stadium, neither side really threatening.

Alvaro Morata had a chance when he was one-on-one with Ben Hamer, but the Spaniard dragged his shot wide.

He was offside anyway, but the Terriers supporters enjoyed the miss.

  14. 'Huge potential'published at 15:16 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Bournemouth 0-0 Cardiff

    Chris Wise
BBC Radio 5 live at Dean Court

I saw David Brooks play a few times for Sheffield United last season. Bournemouth have purchased raw talent, but his potential is huge.

It speaks volumes that Eddie Howe has chosen to start Brooks today. They probably saw him as a bit of a project when they purchased him, but he's clearly impressed during pre-season.

    Watford 0-0 Brighton

Watford are giving the Brighton defence a minor examination early on. It takes a good, strong couple of blocks and a clearance to head off a couple of shots and a resulting corner.

Will Hughes looks up for this. He's pulling strings for the home side.

  17. 'Fulham have calmed down'published at 15:14 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Fulham 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Pat Nevin
Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 live

The start from Fulham was breathtaking. They have calmed it down a bit. There was over-excitement from Fulham at the start, now they are passing it around and keeping possession. I think the Palace players are enjoying a bit of respite.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:14 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Fulham 0-0 Crystal Palace

One way traffic at Craven Cottage.

New signing, if you can call him that, Aleksandar Mitrovic is proving to a handful for the Crystal Palace defenders.

He tees up an Andre Schurrle pass for himself but does not get a good connection on the strike and goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey can push the ball away,

From the resulting corner, Serbia international Mitrovic rises highest but plants his header wide.

  19. CLOSE!published at 15:12 British Summer Time 11 August 2018

    Fulham 0-0 Crystal Palace

Fulham are easy on the eye, playing some decent football.

Skipper Tom Cairney sweeps a nice pass into the feet of Ryan Sessegnon in the area, and ex-Chelsea man Andre Schurrle is inches away from getting on the end of the cutback.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Cardiff

Oh, close! Cardiff have started well but they almost gift Bournemouth an opener as a loose ball gives possession to Callum Wilson near the box. Bad idea. The forward works himself a yard but fires his low shot an inch or two wide.
