    Arsenal

Petr Cech starts for Arsenal against his old club. Arsenal make nine changes from their last league game, about four months ago at Burnley. It's a back three with Mesut Ozil behind the electric front two.

    Full line-ups to come...

  2. Rob Green is here...published at 18:45 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

A huge image of Chelsea's third keeper Robert Green just flashed up on the big screen here, as he made his way through the bowels of the stadium. It did not exactly send the fans who are already in their seats wild, to be honest.

I wonder what the tea is like here at the Olympic Stadium? Rob might be able to tell us shortly...

Everyone gets a lot more excited when the Arsenal coach rolls into view a few moments later, with a brief glimpse of Mesut Ozil sending screams and ripples of applause around the ground.

Mark: Sorry Arsenal but as a neutral Man U fan there is no way I could stand Piers Morgan gloating on TV in the morning if you win, so it's Chelsea for me...

Sean: Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski both played their last games for Arsenal as winners in Cup Finals, so Cech might be a good idea between the sticks

  5. The game (39?) with global appealpublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

One thing that really stands out from talking to people in Baku earlier today is that this is truly an international event, and not just for the neutrals.

Fans of both clubs have come from all over the world for this game - some finding it far easier than the UK fans, like the Arsenal fan from Georgia who got a bus for £5 from the border, or some who have gone for the long haul - like the Chelsea supporter from Mexico who set off for Azerbaijan last week.

For some, like the family of Arsenal fans I spoke to from Dubai, this is realistically the only chance they will get to watch their team together in a competitive match. No wonder they were so excited.

Remember 'Game 39'? It is happening in front of your eyes....

  6. 'Sarri's reaction was not great'published at 18:42 British Summer Time 29 May 2019

    Chelsea v Arsenal (20:00 BST)

    Alan Pardew
Former West Brom manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think it was a little bit unusual because the whole session was under the scrutiny of the media.

The tension is high on the approach to a final and unfortunately for Chelsea that surfaced yesterday. Maurizio Sarri's reaction to it was not great but the players look calm today.

If a crystal ball of Maurizio Sarri's season in August had predicted a third-placed finish, the League Cup final only being lost on penalties to the team that completed the domestic clean sweep and an appearance in a major European final, surely this would have been deemed acceptable?

If he had achieved this at other clubs there would be talk of a contract extension, not of a parting of the ways.

Tonight is not just about glory for the Arsenal, though.

After finishing fifth in the Premier League, the Gunners need a victory tonight to earn a place in next season's Champions League.

Chelsea are already in the Champions League next season so it's all about a trophy tonight.

Win, and Maurizio Sarri will win his first major trophy and become the oldest coach to win the Europa League at 60 years 139 days.

Is this to be Eden Hazard's final game in a Chelsea shirt?

    It seems so.

What a player he has been in the English game. 85 Premier League goals, as many as Fernando Torres or Louis Saha, two league titles and a place in the club's history for sure.

But equally, he's now 28 and it's probably now or never in terms of a big(ger) move...

There is speculation that, win or lose in Baku's Olympic Stadium, it could be Blues boss Maurizio Sarri's final game in charge.

He refused to discuss reports linking him with Italian side Juventus , externalon the eve of the final, saying: "I have a contract with Chelsea for two years.

"So, first of all I will speak with Chelsea but this is not the moment."

Arsenal are definitely without Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who decided not to play for security reasons because of a dispute between his country and Azerbaijan.

Injured midfielder Aaron Ramsey has already played his last match for the club before his summer move to Juventus but Emery must decide whether veteran goalkeeper Petr Cech will start against his former side in his final game before retirement.
