It's a frantic finish in Paisley and Osman Sow almost seals it for the visitors; collecting Pavol Safranko's pass and drilling a low shot which the goalkeeper has to tip round the post.
St Mirren have had plenty of pressure but no real clear-cut chances.
Job done for Hibernian and they go into Monday's Scottish Cup quarter-final draw.
A comfortable win, athough Raith Rovers rallied bravely in the final 15 minutes to their credit.
