    Michael Stewart
Former Scotland midfielder on BBC Sportsound

What a fantastic finish for Daryl Horgan, that's what he needs to do more of. He's got the ability, there's no question about that. That final end product from Horgan at times is what's been lacking in his Hibs career but that was sensational.

A lovely strike by Daryl Horgan and just about deserved for Hibs.

The winger receives Vykintas Slivka's pass on the edge of the box, cuts inside Kyle Benedictus and curls a delightful shot past Robbie Thomson.

Well, there's a turn up for the books, as the first decent save of the match comes from Ofir Marciano, who has to get down sharpish to beat out a long-range strike from Raith Rovers' Tony Dingwall.

A warning for the home side.

    St Mirren 0-0 Dundee United

It's a frantic start in Paisley, and while neither goalkeeper has been seriously tested there has been plenty of goalmouth action at both ends, but it's all a bit scrappy.

    Hibernian 0-0 Raith Rovers

A third corner for Hibs and the ball falls to Florian Kamberi, who has more time than he thinks before blazing an ambitious effort on the angle over the top.

  18. Hibs spurred on by memories of 2016published at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2019

    Hibernian v Raith Rovers (15:00)

Hibs struggled against Raith Rovers when they were last league rivals, winning just one of four games against the Fifers and drawing the other three on their way to the Championship title in 2016-17.

But the footballing omens are far from doom and gloom for the home side since Rovers were one of the sides overcome on the road to Hampden when Alan Stubbs' class of 2016 ended the club's 114-year wait for a third success in the Scottish Cup.

Hibs were 2-0 winners at Stark's Park, with Darren McGregor, playing today, scoring the opening goal.

Those two have overseen a win at St Mirren followed by rather limp defeats to Aberdeen and Celtic.
