1. 'The most impressive team in the British game'published at 15:39 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

Man City v Watford (17:00 BST)

    Roberto Martinez
Belgium manager on BBC Radio 5 live

It is not about winning, it is how Manchester City win. Even in a season off the back of getting 100 points they have the hunger to do it again and get 98 points to beat Liverpool. They lost two key players, Kevin de Bruyne and Fernandinho, for most of the season but always found a way. This is the most impressive team in the British game in modern times, not just because they win, but the way they win.

  2. What happens if it's a draw at full-time?published at 15:36 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

Man City v Watford (17:00 BST)

For the second successive season, the video assistant referee (VAR) system will be used during the final.

Kevin Friend will referee the match, with Andre Marriner taking the role of video assistant referee.

Should the game end in a draw after 90 minutes, 30 minutes of extra time will be played. If the teams still cannot be separated, a penalty shootout will decide the winners.

If the final goes to extra time, both teams will be allowed to use a fourth substitute.

Troy Deeney needs to keep his emotions in check. It is very hard when you are the figurehead of a club. He did that in the semi-final and if he can put in a similar performance, but not let it spill over, he offers so much more than just a physical battle.

  5. 'You have to upset them'published at 15:29 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

Man City v Watford (17:00 BST)

    Roberto Martinez
Belgium manager on BBC Radio 5 live

The key is to get the Watford players to enjoy the day but be clear how to win. In a game where you are clearly an underdog, if you allow the superior team to be themselves it is only a matter of time. In some way you have to upset them.

  6. Not the first domestic treble...published at 15:26 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

Pep Guardiola was asked at his press conference on Friday what it would mean to win "the first domestic treble in this country".

Man City v Watford (17:00 BST)

    Jermaine Jenas
Former Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live's Friday Football Social

Javi Gracia believes in his team a lot. A bond has been formed. There's belief in his methods the players buy into.

When you go through tough moments – like Troy Deeney being sent off – some managers can turn their back on players but he sticks by his players and won't out them.

He asks them to play in a way they enjoy playing. There haven’t been that many lows for him to show lots of animation.

It’s reflected in his team. When you look at Watford, not to say they’re not high intensity and at it, but there aren't many games you see where they’re out of it for him to be disgruntled.

Young Phil Foden doesn't turn 19 until 28 May. How old does that make you feel!?

While the Manchester City midfielder is living out his best years, Watford have had the oldest average starting XI in the Premier League this season: 28 years and 323 days.

Keeper Heurelho Gomes, who has started every FA Cup game for the Hornets, is 38. This is expected to be his last game for the club. What a send off it would be if they won!

Man City v Watford (17:00 BST)

    Guy Mowbray
Match of the Day commentator at Wembley

Whatever the end result, we're going to have a final that will take a notable place in history.

Either we get first-time winners (for only the second time in the last 31 years), or a men's English domestic treble completed for the first time EVER.

If City do it, I hope a sufficient enough deal is made of it. Their Champions League exit and subsequent European final places for four other English sides has quietened the hype around their potential achievement somewhat.

The greatest day in the club's history? Possibly. For Watford if they win? Undoubtedly.

And they can. This is the FA Cup final, and much bigger outsiders than the Hornets have upset the odds before.

Man City v Watford (17:00 BST)

    Shaun Wright-Phillips
Ex-Man City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips on BBC Radio 5 Live's Friday Football Social

It doesn’t matter what team in what league that City are playing against, Pep Guardiola wants the winning mentality all the way through.

Sometimes as a player you'd get in the groove and a cup game comes up and you get rested. Then you lose your rhythm and you have to start back again.

Guardiola just keeps it running and flowing. He might tweak the attacking players but the structure still stays the same.

No matter who you support, for what City have done this season in all competitions, to win three of the four, you have to give them what they deserve.

Among the 90,000 in attendance this afternoon is a very special guest as far as Watford manager Javi Gracia is concerned - his mum!

He hasn't seen his mother for a year but she's shown up for the big day. Glory hunter.

Speaking in the official programme Gracia also says that he's had to shell out for 25 tickets for friends and family in Pamplona.

"I will be proud of my players whatever happens today," he says.

"But now it's the moment to enjoy this match, and to try and win it."
