Fantastic ball Christian Eriksen and a brilliant first time touch by Serge Aurier. It's one touch football and when it leaves Dele Alli's foot, we're thinking 'is this going to go miles wide?' but it goes inside the post and it's a wonderful finish.

Might just have been the best passage of play of the Jose Mourinho era at Tottenham...

GOAL - Tottenham 2-1 Brightonpublished at 72 mins

    Dele Alli (72 mins)

What a move, what a finish!

Wonderful stuff from Tottenham as they look to thread it through the Brighton defence, only to be met by nine defenders on the edge of the box.

It comes out to Christian Eriksen, who sends a diagonal pass out to Serge Aurier and the full-back cuts it back for Alli.

Alli takes it first time, looping a finish over Mat Ryan and into the far corner. Delicious.

    Tottenham 1-1 Brighton

Good pressing from Dele Alli and Giovani Lo Celso to rob the ball back in midfield, with Alli finding Lucas Moura on the left.

The Brazilian just stumbles as he goes to cross it and Brighton clear.

Bob Moss: Harry Winks should be having an early bath. Definite yellow.

Prince Gyimah: I can't believe Winks wasn't shown a second yellow for the tackle on Gross.

    Tottenham 1-1 Brighton

    First change for Brighton.

Aaron Connolly heads off to be replaced by Neal Maupay.

Spurs also make a switch, with Christian Eriksen on for Harry Winks, probably before the England man gets sent-off...

Aaron Mooy and Pascal Gross stand over the free-kick. It'll be Gross...

    Great effort!

He hits the target, but Paulo Gazzaniga gets a solid fist to it to punch away from danger.

That said... Brighton are dangerous on the break and Pascal Gross cleverly chops inside to work some space, only to be floored by Harry Winks on the edge of the area.

Winks has already been booked. No second yellow here though. Lucky man?

Giovani Lo Celso looks handy. Barely seen any football since his move from Real Betis but has a bit longer to show what he can do today.

The Argentine works it right to Toby Alderweireld, but the defender's low cross is cleared. Tottenham starting to get on top in this one.

Eriksen has been poor for Spurs and Denmark for 12 months and wants to leave.. One assist against wolves doesn't change how he played against Chelsea. If you want to leave fine, but sulking doesn't help. He should look at Ramsey as an example of how to run your contract down and get a good move..

Lucas Moura is the man carrying Tottenham forward, trying to make things happen and being a right pain for the Brighton defenders with his pressing when they're in possession.

He picks it up in midfield and slots Moussa Sissoko into space, but the Frenchman's touch gets away from him.

First little bit of creativity from Giovani Lo Celso, who nips forward and flicks a pass right towards Harry Kane. Kane goes down under Dan Burn's challenge, but it's just a Tottenham throw.

Sissoko absolutely dreadful again today. Fortunately for him though, there are 10 other poor performers on the pitch with him!

    Andy, York

To be fair to Mourinho he did say he'd never joined a team mid season (ie no preseason) before and that he was looking forward to some time in January to work in team shape.

Ouchy. Dele Alli catches Adam Webster on the chin as the pair jump for the ball. Just a free-kick to Brighton though.

Ash Williams: That goal is made by a Lucas Moura. No one moved for him and he worked hard to force the deflection.

Harry Kane is very good from that tight position and will always score. Brighton will be feeling really unlucky not to clear the ball there. Mat Ryan's save was brilliant but he just couldn't control were the parry was going.
