Jose has been doing his best to be charming and happy since joining Spurs, now the results are going the other way... We might get Angry, Bitter Jose back.

    Shaun, Harrogate

For all the fanfare over his arrival Spurs look no better under Mourinho than they did under Pochettino.

Tottenham have conceded 15 goals in all competitions under Jose Mourinho (nine games), more than any other Premier League team in this period.

Adam Webster has scored as many goals in his 15 Premier League games this season (three) as he netted in 44 Championship matches for Bristol City last term.

Pascal Gross has provided 15 assists for Brighton in the Premier League, eight more than any other Seagulls player in the competition.

Kyle: Tottenham have been awful way to slow in their build up play. Their lack of movement in attacking areas is a concern as is the way they have defended set pieces. Brighton have been superb and deserve their lead.

Sooraj Shah: There just doesn’t seem to be a plan with this Tottenham team. So similar to Poch’s last games, just a sense of throwing together a team and seeing what happens.

    Headed away.

Brighton lead 1-0 at the break.

Dele Alli is starting to drift out to the left, and the Spurs midfielder looks to cut back on his right to whip a ball into the box. It fails to beat the first defender.

Jose Mourinho looking a touch agitated, as well as soaked, down on the touchline.

What I like about Graham Potter is the way he's gone about his business. In his first week, he praised (former manager) Chris Hughton for the job he'd done at Brighton but said 'I want to take them in a different direction', take the shackles off the players and give them a license to play. He's also made some fantastic signings.

Good move from Tottenham and it's Moussa Sissoko who hits the byline before driving a low cross into the area. Smart defending from Shane Duffy to turn it behind.

Harry Kane robs Pascal Gross of the ball inside the Spurs half and the Brighton midfielder in turn tries to rob the Tottenham forward's shirt. He gets a late Christmas card from referee Graham Scott - it's yellow.

Brilliant ball into the box, it's all about the delivery. Whereas Tottenham's ball into the box was poor, this one was fantastic. Nothing wrong with the goal for the referee to look at. It's a great header by Adam Webster - an easy one - but no-one was attacking the ball for Tottenham.

Brighton come flying at Spurs again and win a corner. Another chance to deliver...

Bernardo gets his head to this one but Paulo Gazzaniga dives on it.

    Adam Webster (37 mins)

Boom! Adam Webster gets Brighton up and running on Boxing Day...

It's so easy for the visitors.

Pascal Gross' free-kick is inviting but Webster can rise relatively unmarked to nod beyond Paulo Gazzaniga from six yards out. Easy.

Great start for Graham Potter's Seagulls.

Blimey. It's like an episode of the Truman Show. Think we're stuck on repeat...

Brighton win a free-kick in a similar spot to the one they had moments ago, and Harry Winks earns himself a booking. It also means a one-game ban as that's his fifth yellow card of the season.

Well, Jan Vertonghen stands over the ball.

    Fancy a thwack!?

Nope. It's a delicate dink into Moussa Sissoko, but the Frenchman is offside.

    Tottenham 0-0 Brighton

Brighton deal with the Spurs corner with ease.

The visitors themselves get a chance to deliver as Pascal Gross thumps a free-kick deep into the Tottenham box.

But here go Spurs again... on the counter.

Lucas Moura drives towards the edge of the Brighton area and is clipped once more. Free-kick in almost an identical spot to a few moments ago, maybe a touch further out.

Jack Tanner: Come on VAR, offsides should only be given if it doesn't need a protractor to spot it... Give the lino benefit of the doubt if its marginal.

    Harry Kane will hit it.

But his strike clips the Brighton wall and runs out for a corner. Might have caught a hand, but not much the defender could do about that with his arms wrapped up next to his chest.

Now then, this could be dangerous for the Seagulls.

Lucas Moura goes marauding off his wing, cutting inside towards the Brighton area and Dan Burn can only stop the Spurs man by hauling him down.

Yellow card for the Brighton defender.

Free-kick to the left of Mat Ryan's goal, about three yards outside the penalty area...

Imtiaaz: VAR is such a farce, overcomplicated that offside, no way is that offside and secondly it's not a "clear and obvious error". Stupid technology!!!

Michael Reid: Can't argue with the disallowed goal, offside by an cm or a foot is offside.. but wow it's killing the game. I generally don't care when a goal goes in anymore as it's subject to change.
