    Tottenham v Brighton (12:30 GMT)

Spurs are unbeaten in 13 Boxing Day Premier League fixtures (W10, D3), with their last such defeat coming at Portsmouth in 2003.

Brighton have beaten Tottenham just three times in 17 meetings since 1979 (D3, L11).

Brighton are winless in their last 10 Boxing Day games (D4, L6), with their last such victory a 1-0 win over QPR in 2005.

  12. A memorable timepublished at 12:08 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Everton v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Goodison Park

So Duncan Ferguson’s brief spell as interim boss of his beloved Everton is over, but it certainly will not be forgotten.

He galvanised a club that had lost three on the bounce before sacking Marco Silva, demanded and got passion and commitment from his players and produced some memorable moments.

From hugging and lifting ball boys in the air when his team scored, getting soaked wearing just a shirt in heavy Manchester rain to hauling an ineffective striker off 19 minutes after he had come on, Ferguson’s style was certainly unorthodox.

But also very successful. A 3-1 win over Chelsea and draws against Manchester United and Arsenal mean the Premier League table looks a lot healthier for Carlo Ancelotti now than it did three weeks ago when Silva was dismissed. Ferguson will still be on the touchline though today, as part of Ancelotti’s backroom team.

  13. Will the Perfector succeed at Everton?published at 12:07 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Everton v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

    Mina Rzouki
    Italian football writer

Carlo Ancelotti could easily be referred to as "The Perfector" - the man an already successful team brings in to take them one step further and win the coveted grand trophies reserved for the very best.

A proven winner with a trophy laden cabinet both as a player and as a coach, Ancelotti is the maestro associated with the big clubs and the big names in football.

Now he is the manager of Everton, who have not finished above seventh place in the Premier League since 2014 and are 15th at Christmas this year.

Puzzled? It is hard not to be, but it seems Ancelotti is bewitched by the idea of building a project and proving he is not only a manager for the big occasions but also one who can lay foundations and create a winning team.

It's fresh starts for two Premier League clubs, who have new bosses in the dugouts for the first time this afternoon... So will Arsenal feel the energy under Mikel Arteta?

Having learned under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, will the 37-year-old get his managerial career off to a winning start?

Arsenal are in the bottom half of the table - nine points off a Champions League spot - and Arteta said: "The first thing is to change the energy."

  17. 'Win or bust for Leicester'published at 11:59 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Leicester v Liverpool (20:00 GMT)

    Darren Fletcher
Former Man Utd midfielder to BBC Sport

It is pretty much win or bust for Leicester's title hopes when they host leaders Liverpool.

After the Foxes lost to Manchester City on Saturday, there is really only one result that would make things interesting at the top of the table.

If Brendan Rodgers' side can bounce back and become the first team to beat the Reds in the Premier League since 3 January, it will give them a massive psychological boost and restore their belief that they are genuine title contenders.

Leicester's result at Etihad Stadium was always going to play a huge part in their approach to this game - and now they need to win it, because nothing less will do.
