Ryan: Italy have played well, but they've beaten two bang average teams at home. Their clean sheet record would suggest they're definitely a force to be reckoned with at this tournament, though.

What a night for this young man, eh?

Manuel Locatelli put in a stellar display full of energy and intelligence. Oh, and he also has an absolute wand of a left foot too.

He has just picked up Uefa's 'star of the match' award. Of course.

Brilliant performance from Italy and they controlled it from start to finish.

Three wonderful goals and they really look like a team that people will have to take notice of. They played against a decent Switzerland side, controlled the game and looked outstanding.

I really enjoyed watching them and they were full of energy which is great to see in the modern game. They want to score goals and entertain. They look impressive from what we've seen so far.

Italy are now unbeaten in their last 58 competitive matches that were held in Italy, last losing in September 1999 against Denmark in a European Championship qualifying match in Naples, winning 45 and drawing 13 such matches since.

They are also unbeaten in 29 games in all competitions (W24 D5) since a Nations League defeat against Portugal in 2018. Only once in their history have they gone on a longer run without defeat (30 games between November 1935-July 1939).

Oh, and they have kept a clean sheet in each of their last 10 matches in all competitions, going 965 minutes without conceding since a Donny van de Beek goal for the Netherlands last October. They have gone 10 games without conceding a goal for the first time since November 1989-June 1990.

For anyone worried about Giorgio Chiellini, he is currently striding around the Stadio Olimpico pitch administering high fives and hugs like a proud dad. Doesn't seem too inhibited by that leg injury that caused him to be subbed in the first half.

We'll hear more about that in the coming days, though, I'm sure.

It's third time lucky for Ciro Immobile, a wonderful effort. It was a good interception from Toloi, the ball falls to Immobile and you expect him to pass but he takes an effort, the ball bounces just in front of the goalkeeper and he can't keep it out.

Ciro Immobile has tried and tried again and finally he has his reward with a low shot from range that Yann Sommer gets a hand to but only to push it into the corner of the net.
