Breel Embolo is in the book for a late challenge on Nicolo Barella. It is a little kick on the leg after the Italian had turned away from him.

Bit of frustration coming out. Embolo has barely had a sniff tonight.

One day, in the not too distant future, a side will score against Italy again. Not sure when, though?

Italy have scored 58 goals in their last 19 games, while conceding just three.

Bosnia, the Netherlands and Armenia are the only teams to score against them since September 2019.

Donny van de Beek was the last player to taste that feeling of having scored against the Azzuri on 14 October 2020.

I've been impressed with Jorginho. We talk about the people around him, Locatelli, Barella and the front three, but Jorginho sits in front of the defence orchestrating and deciding when they run.

He has been very vocal and you see the turnaround from him starting his Chelsea career to how people think of him now - his form has been really impressive over the last 18 months.

Another chance for Ciro Immobile and another that he sends flying past the far post from an angled shot from the left.

I'm not sure about that Rachel. If that was true, Croatia would have won a lot more international tournaments.

Italy's kit is nice, though.

Switzerland simply can't find a way in. Even when they appear to have bought themselves a yard they can't test the keeper as Xherdan Shaqiri's effort is blocked by two sliding men in blue.

Double change for Italy. Rafael Tolói and Federico Chiesa replace Lorenzo Insigne and Domenico Berardi.

A bit of solidity added to see it out in Toloi.

If the name Chiesa rings a bell that is likely because he is the son of ex-Italy international Enrico Chiesa, who won 22 caps and was in the squad at Euro 96.

They will also be hoping Giorgio Chiellini's injury isn't too serious. His experience and defensive ability will be vital later in the competition.

That is the big question - how will Italy fare against a really good side? In their long unbeaten run they barely played any sides in the world top 20.

You can only beat what is on front of you, though. And boy have they been doing that.
