To say it has been an eventful four months for Luke Matheson would be an understatement.

Scoring at Old Trafford was 'pure emotion' - Rochdale teenager Matheson

If you recognise the name, it's probably because he was the 16-year-old Rochdale defender who scored a brilliant equaliser to take Manchester United to penalties in his side's Carabao Cup defeat in September.

The now-17-year-old set up the equaliser for Aaron Wilbraham at Spotland on 4 January to earn the replay for Brian Barry-Murphy's side. BBC Sport went to speak to the teenager to find out just how much life has changed - personally and professionally - since that memorable night at Old Trafford.

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho: "We take the competition seriously. We took the first match at Middlesbrough seriously. It was difficult so we can imagine tonight will also be difficult.

"We don't have the players to make more rotations than what we've done but we have to try with what we have. It's a difficult moment but we will recover some players from injury next week and step by step we'll go back to normality.

"I expect what I always expect from Christian Eriksen, which is him trying to do his best. Playing when he's legally free to negotiate with another club, does that affect his performance? I think so. But what he tries to do every game is to give his best to the team."

Neil Warnock says he is looking to manage one more club and would like to take on another role this season.

The 71-year-old left Cardiff City in November having been in football for over 50 years as a player, coach and manager and having managed 1,488 games.

Warnock says he is motivated for one last challenge and wants to reach the milestone of 1,500 competitive matches.

"Apparently I have 12 league games to go to get 1,500 and that is really tempting to me," Warnock said.

We've already had one postponement today with Tranmere v Watford not surviving the threat of Storm Brendan.

The weather at St Andrews, where tenants Coventry could set up a potential fourth-round tie against their landlords Birmingham, looks pretty biblical too.

It's a risk playing a player who will leave the club because he could get injured. For Christian Eriksen it's a test of his mentality because if he knows he's on the move, will he put 100% into every tackle and stretch himself?

Jonathan Woodgate's Middlesbrough are back in action tonight live on BBC One.

Alongside Woodgate on the Boro bench will be fellow former Spurs player Robbie Keane; the pair were both in the starting line-up when the north London side won the 2008 League Cup, the club's last piece of silverware.

Tottenham beat Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley, with Woodgate scoring the winner in extra time.

While in an ideal world an extra game wouldn't have been Jose Mourinho's choice there's no doubting his burning desire to deliver Tottenham a trophy and the FA Cup is the most realistic route this season. The competition could also help reignite some consistency as Spurs head into this one after just one win in the last six games.

Jonathan Woodgate and Robbie Keane were in the last Tottenham team to win silverware but in the opposite dugout they'd love nothing more than to create the headlines against their former club and continue the recent feel good factor at Middlesbrough.
