    Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

    Don Hutchison
Ex-Liverpool midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Another chance for Sadio Mane, it was too easy for Liverpool from their own throw-in.

Chelsea players could not touch him but the effort was too close to Kepa Arrizabalaga.

  2. 'A great save by Henderson'published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2020

    Reading 0-1 Sheffield United

    Keith Edwards
Ex-Sheffield United striker on BBC Radio Sheffield

What a save and what a shot. I wasn’t expecting that!

When Meite got the ball in that position I was thinking ‘you can have a pop from there, there isn’t that much danger’.

It was a great save by Henderson in the end.

    West Brom 0-0 Newcastle

    Alistair Magowan
    BBC Sport at The Hawthorns

Nabil Bentaleb is pulling the strings in Newcastle's midfield, but it hasn't quite clicked up front yet which is a familiar story for Steve Bruce's side this season.

They are playing a more attacking 4-4-2 formation tonight, though, which is an improvement on 5-4-1 in recent months.

    Reading 0-1 Sheffield United

    Adam Williams
    BBC Sport at Madejski Stadium

Encouragement for Championship Reading after them made the worst possible start when falling behind to David McGoldrick's 90-second header.

Ivory Coast forward and fans' favourite Yakou Meite's effort just then kept Dean Henderson on his toes in the Blades' goal.

The Royals will need to show a fair more bit of that to keep themselves in this one otherwise Sheffield United may well just pass them off the park before half-time.

  5. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2020

    Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

Eight shots on target in the opening half hour. Make that nine as Sadio Mane beats his man inside the area and sees Kepa make another save before Neco Williams duffs the follow-up.

  6. Postpublished at 20:15 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2020

    West Brom 0-0 Newcastle

Newcastle are looking to reach the quarter-finals for the first time since 2006 and they're certainly up for it.

Not only are they bossing possession, they've had four goal attempts in the opening 15 minutes.

    Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

Billy Gilmour has been brilliant but there is a game of poker going on.

Willian wants to get forward but it is leaving Andy Robertson with so much room on that left.

  8. Postpublished at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2020

    Reading 0-1 Sheffield United

Decent effort, well an effort anyway, for Reading as Yakou Meite sees his long-range shot well saved by Dean Henderson.

  9. Postpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2020

    Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

It is, indeed. Billy Gilmour has been excellent, starting another Chelsea move which ends with Mateo Kovacic scuffing a shot from Olivier Giroud's knockdown.

    Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

This is one of the best football games I have seen for a number of weeks.

The tempo and the way the two teams are knocking it about fast and furiously.

Came off Alonso's chest I think. VAR don't get involved anyway.

  13. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2020

    Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

24 of Willian's 58 goals for Chelsea have been from outside the box, by the way. Some effort that.

I wonder if he and Pedro will be there next year. Adam Lallana, another who will probably be off this summer, makes a good tackle to stop Chelsea.

Sadio Mane then has a cross blocked by Marcos Alonso. Hands?

  14. Postpublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2020

    West Brom 0-0 Newcastle

Another Newcastle chance! Joelinton has a chance to nod his side ahead but it's falls well wide. This isn't going to stay goalless for long judging by the way both teams have started.

  15. 'Brilliant from Kepa'published at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2020

    Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC One

This is brilliant. What about those three saves from Kepa? A big celebration from him at the end, too.

But it shows the chances are going to be there for Liverpool.

  16. Postpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2020

    West Brom 0-0 Newcastle

They're not hanging around at The Hawthorns.

Chances at both ends in the opening minutes.

After Newcastle almost caught the Baggies out at one end, Kyle Edwards forces a save from Karl Darlow at the other.

  17. Postpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2020

    Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

    Don Hutchison
Ex-Liverpool midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

How on Earth have Liverpool not scored from there?

There was panic stations from Chelsea, it should be 1-1, how many chances do Liverpool need?

I can't see Chelsea keeping a clean sheet today.

  18. GREAT SAVE(s)!published at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2020

    Chelsea 1-0 Liverpool

Wow! Kepa makes a triple save at the other end! But Liverpool should have scored at least one of those.

Sadio Mane scrambles a shot in form close range which the Spanish keeper kicks out, he then parries a shot from Divock Origi and then gets on top of Curtis Jones to smother his attempt.

Kepa punches the air in glee.

  20. 'Perfect finish from McGoldrick'published at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2020

    Reading 0-1 Sheffield United

    Keith Edwards
Ex-Sheffield United striker on BBC Radio Sheffield

It's the perfect start and the perfect man to get it. He's been dying for that all season.

I've said that McGoldrick has to add things to his game. His hold-up play around the box is faultless - it's all about goals.

This might just turn his season around. It was a perfect ball from Osborn and a perfect finish from McGoldrick too.
