Been a Utd fan all my life this is the worst back four I can remember, we were burgled into paying £80M for Maguire and Lindelof is so poor . Looking at how other big clubs have strengthened Utd will be lucky to finish in the top 6 .

Not long left until the break. Maybe Manchester United could do with Gareth Bale...

Vishnu VJ Ladwa: Looking at Gareth Bale’s injury history - I feel this is not going to end well for both himself and Spurs. Bale to make fewer than 20 apps in all comps
Campino: People think Bale is finished and yet his former teammate Townsend scores against United today. What makes you think he can't score goals for Spurs?
Liam Donoghue: Bale is clearly past his best and could have a detrimental effect on Spurs dressing room and wage structure, could be worst buy of the year.
There is a strong argument that Gareth Bale is the most successful British player to ever play abroad – he certainly is in terms of trophies.
Nobody can come close to four European Cups and two La Liga titles.
Steve McManaman did manage two Champions Leagues and two Spanish titles in his time at Real.
England’s Kevin Keegan would probably be part of the debate too, having won the Ballon d’Or twice while he was at Hamburg – although he only won one Bundesliga title.
Wales’ John Charles was considered one of Juventus’ greatest ever players too.

Bale is the best player we have ever had. Period. It may take him a little while to fully recapture his form, but if he stays fit I see no reason why he cannot once again tear apart premier League defences. He is a truly world class player that will lift the club and the players. So excited.

Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about the game at Old Trafford. It's just there isn't loads happening.
Do you remember a time that loans were just for 18-year-olds to get some first-team experience?
"Real Madrid CF and Tottenham Hotspur FC have agreed the loan of the player Gareth Bale for the next season, until June 30 2021.
"Our club wishes good luck to a player who is part of one of the most successful stages of our history."
That's what Real Madrid have said in a short club statement.
So what has Gareth Bale achieved in his seven years away?
Four Champions League winners’ medals, two La Liga titles, 105 goals.
And yet somehow he doesn’t leave Spain as a legend.

United didn't finsh last season particularly strongly, did they?

Manchester United fell behind in their final three home Premier League games of Project Restart and now they have to come from behind again.
They got two wins and a draw from those games last season but Palace look quite well organised.
United are a bit aimless at present.

Good move by United but Marcus Rashford has a shot blocked on the edge of the box.
Half of their six shots have been blocked so far.
