  1. 'Fabulous Diangana'published at 12:46 British Summer Time 19 September 2020

    Everton 0-1 West Brom

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was a fabulous goal. There was a lot of talk around that transfer with West Ham letting him go but Grady Diangana has proven his worth for West Brom.

I know there are a lot of West Ham fans and players disappointed not to have him in their squad...

    Grady Diangana

    What a goal!

West Brom win the ball back and break quickly. Summer signing Grady Diangana is allowed to carry it all the way through the middle and to the edge of the box as Everton's defence just keep backing off.

He waits for support but when it doesn't arrive in time, thinks 'why not?' And has a go from 20 yards.

It flies past Jordan Pickford, who was very slow to react.

    Everton 0-0 West Brom

Yerry Mina and Richarlison both go down in the box as James Rodriguez' free-kick comes flying in.

It flies over everybody's heads but the referee quickly checks VAR for a penalty. Nothing given.

    Everton 0-0 West Brom

Callum Robinson feeds it into Grady Diangana, who has seen a lot of the ball on that left-hand side.

He tees up Jake Livermore but the skipper blasts it way over the bar.

  7. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Everton 0-0 West Brom

Grady Diangana tries to get away on the left but Seamus Coleman makes up the ground, gets a foot in and deflects it back off the winger to win a goal kick.

    Solid defending.

Jordan Pickford's clearance is nervy again though and Everton have to work to clear their lines. Not a great start from the England stopper.

Paul: If Everton want to reach their ambitions they need to replace Pickford. He's not good enough and wouldn't get in any team who are usually in top six.

  9. CLOSE!published at 4 mins

    Everton 0-0 West Brom

Allan floats a ball into the box and Richarlison does well to keep possession. He slides it right to Seamus Coleman and his cross is deflected out for a corner.

James Rodriguez takes it and Dominic Calvert-Lewin should score! He heads wide from close range. Should be hitting the target.

  10. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Everton 0-0 West Brom

Jordan Pickford skews a clearance and gifts it to West Brom in his own box. Grady Diangana ends up striking it from just inside the edge but it's straight at the keeper.

    Early let off.

    Everton 0-0 West Brom

    Karen Carney
Former England and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

I had so much fun watching [Everton last week]. It was scary that a brand new midfield that has been together maybe a week or so gelled so quickly.

James Rodriguez hasn't played that much over the past two seasons but he was a cut above everyone else. The presence and aura he has poured onto everyone else...

There's a presence about Everton now.

  14. 'Ivanovic the ultimate defender'published at 12:28 British Summer Time 19 September 2020

Everton v West Brom (12:30 BST)

    Karen Carney
Former England and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

He's not involved today, but Karen Carney believes former Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has a big role to play for West Brom this season...

Branislav Ivanovic has been at the top teams, he's won things, he's an ultimate defender really. He knows how to get the job done.

If you look at the promoted teams, the teams that stay up are the ones that defend well and give themselves the chance by staying in games. The obvious one is Sheffield United, as opposed to Norwich who have ended up back in the Championship.

He'll come in and help some of those players who need a bit of encouraging and he'll offer that bit of experience.
