    Son Heung-min

    It's the double-act again.

Harry Kane is found in space in the middle. He swivels and slips it through to Son Heung-min, who takes one touch to get away from the defender and then smashes it past the keeper.

Clinical. That's the difference so far!

Straight off the mark from Southampton.

It's more nice play down the left. Stuart Armstrong feeds it through to Che Adams but his strike is straight at Hug Lloris.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 20 September 2020

    Southampton 1-1 Tottenham

Jose Mourinho has made a change. It's Tanguy Ndombele who is replaced by Giovani Lo Celso.

Little bit surprised by that. He was arguably the best Spurs midfielder in the first half.

Off we go for the second half.

    HT: Southampton 1-1 Tottenham

Son Heung-min and Harry Kane were getting success with those runs in behind. If Spurs can sort out their organisation and get on the ball in midfield, there's opportunities there.

Southampton were the better side in the first half but they need to put away their chances. Could have been more.

You'd still fancy them on the performance so far though.

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce unsurprisingly sticks to the same XI that started their win at West Ham on the opening day.

That means Ryan Fraser has to be content with a spot on the bench again while Ciaran Clark is also among the substitutes.

Newcastle XI: Darlow, Manquillo, Fernandez, Lascelles, Lewis, Shelvey, Hayden, Hendrick, Wilson, Carroll, Saint-Maximin.

Subs: Gillespie, Clark, Joelinton, Ritchie, Krafth, Fraser, Almiron

Brighton boss Graham Potter makes one change to the side that started their 3-1 defeat to Chelsea.

Adam Lallana, who limped off on his Seagulls debut last weekend, drops to the bench and is replaced by Aaron Connolly

Brighton XI: Ryan, White, Webster, Dunk, Lamptey Connolly, Bissouma, Alzate, March, Maupay, Trossard

Subs: Steele, Gross, Lallana, Jahanbakhsh, Bernardo, Burn, Veltman

They had about 10 which were offside/disallowed goals, obviously.

Son's goal was Spurs' only legitimate shot and touch in Southampton's box in the entire first half.

Paul: Great goal by son but appalling goalkeeping by Mccarthy. He should have been coming and claiming that ball rather than come half way and then backtrack. Poor.

Tom: All this assists nonsense. No credit to the actual architect, Ndombele

Ed Franklin: Son turned a dreadfully hit ball by Kane into a goal. And what about the strength and skill from Ndombele. He's been the one bright spark in the half.

LEE: Re; Dan, London (12:44). All set up nicely for a Hojbjerg winner then

Tanguy Ndombele deserves a lot of credit. He won the ball inside the Tottenham half, a lovely bit of skill in moving up the pitch and released Harry Kane away down the left-hand side. Lovely vision from Kane to see Son making the run and brilliant finish from Son to whip the ball into the bottom corner.

    Son Heung-min

Another brilliant finish. Clinical from Son Heung-min.

It's curled over to Harry Kane on the left. He sees Son make the run and whips an early ball across the box.

Son takes a touch then fires it past Alex McCarthy, who had come out halfway then changed his mind and was wrong-footed.

    We're all level.

Ings, wanted by Spurs, scores a goal assisted by Walker-Peters, who Southampton just signed from Spurs. Classic

    Dan, London

    Southampton 1-0 Tottenham

Southampton are definitely the better team here. They look more threatening going forward and Spurs' midfield are being bypassed far too easily.

Danny Ings has it at his feet in the box again but his pass through to Moussa Djenepo is overcooked.

  20. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Tottenham

That was Ings' 20th home goal in the Premier League.

Among current Premier League clubs, only against Everton (6 goals, 0 assists) has Ings had a hand in more goals in all competitions than Spurs (4 goals, 1 assist).
