Jared Maobe: Apart from the price tag, £72m, is there any other reason Kepa is in the Chelsea starting line up?

It's tough out there, Rog. Gotta be ready when called upon.

Both sides have been a little bit pedestrian. If they can move the ball a little bit quicker there will be openings.

There have been no clear-cut chances, the goalkeepers' kits are spotlessly clean and nothing really has been created.
Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool
Andreas Christensen is having an excellent game for Chelsea, he has been in the right place at the right time on each occasion.
This time the Dane blocks Trent Alexander-Arnold's low cross into the six yard box with Roberto Firmino sniffing around.

Leonidas: I think it is safe to say Timo Werner prefers his right foot over his left.
Ben: That should have been a shot on goal.

Fabinho was concentrating, making sure he didn't take the dummy. Timo Werner had one thing on his mind - trying to go inside of him on his right foot - but Fabinho wasn't having any of it at all. Great defending and very good concentration, but Chelsea have got in two or three times on this left-hand side.
Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool
Mohamed Salah cuts in to the edge of the box, you know he is going to arc it with his left boot, but the shot is blocked.
Chelsea break immediately and Timo Werner is one-on-one with Fabinho, but the Brazilian does well to stay on his feet and dispossess the German.
Werner didn't make up his mind about what he wanted to do there, ended up doing nothing.
We'll sub Emma back in if it's 0-0 at half-time.

Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool
Chelsea break for the first time and the space opens up for N'Golo Kante in the box.
But the France World Cup winner wants too much time and the Reds get back to snuff out the danger.

Frank is taking a leaf out of Jose's book by setting Chelsea up to be tight and compact at the back and letting Liverpool have all the early possession and looking to use Werner's pace on counter-attack. Very much bus-parking me thinks.

Kepa Arrizabalaga found wanting and the camera pans straight to Chelsea director Petr Cech in the stands.

Kepa Arrizabalaga found himself in no-man's land but got away with it because of great defending from Andreas Christensen.
Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool
Kepa Arrizabalaga at it again.
The Chelsea goalkeeper comes steaming off his line but Mohamed Salah beats him to the ball.
The Liverpool man rolls it across the six yard box for Roberto Firmino, whose flick at the near post is blocked well by defender Andreas Christensen.
Kepa inspiring zero confidence in his defence whatsoever there.
