Simon: With Barca and Real playing awfully, Liverpool having lost Van Dijk for a while, and only Bayern really playing consistently out of the rest, could this be Man City's year for the Champion's League?

Mo Salah (Pen 90 mins)
Whallop! That's how to take a penalty, Julian Dicks stuff from Mo Salah as he runs up and leathers it down the middle.

Just goes to prove that without at least two of our front three on the pitch the standard of attacking and pressing is severely hampered. Copious amounts of cotton wool needed to ensure we can compete in all competitions this season. Dreading bad news on Fabhino

Real Madrid
Karim Benzema has got one back for Real Madrid against Borussia Monchengladbach but they still trail 2-1.
Can they find a late equaliser?
Elsewhere Atletico are leading Red Bull Salzburg and Porto are leading Olympiakos 2-0 now.
Liverpool 1-0 Midtjylland
Straight from that Midtjylland chance, Liverpool break and one pass is enough to send Mo Salah in on goal.
He's beyond the last defender and just waits for the contact in his back and goes down. It's soft as you like but he goes down under Paulinho's challenge.

The third goal was training ground stuff and brilliantly so. The play there by Kevin de Bruyne to get into that position. The play between Riyad Mahrez and de Bruyne was effortless. They're clever players, they're so quick.
Raheem Sterling has played really well - always full of running. He's frightened the life out of the full-back he's been playing against. It's been a bit of a cruise for Man City and their forward line. I have to say I'm surprised I didn't think it would be anywhere near this easy for City.
Liverpool 1-0 Midtjylland
Oh what a chance!
It's so nearly 1-1 and that would have been a gem of a goal. Anders Dreyer has had a fine night, as he picks the ball up, does Joe Gomez with a lovely touch and turn to drive into the area. He lofts it past Alisson with a deft flick - and it's into the side netting.
Liverpool 1-0 Midtjylland
Liverpool should have wrapped up the win - brilliant again from Trent Alexander-Arnold to power down the right and cut the bacll back. Roberto Firmino is well placed, plenty of bodies between him and the net but he gets it off his ankle and slams it high into the Kop.
Good chance.
Liverpool 1-0 Midtjylland
Liverpool have still had just that one shot on target all night. But they won't really care if they win this. Just got to churn through some of these games at this hectic stage fo the season.
Marseille 0-3 Manchester City
Raheem Sterling has been directly involved in 28 Champions League goals in 36 appearances under Pep Guardiola (18 goals, 10 assists), more than any other Man City player since 2016-17.
Marseille 0-3 Manchester City
They've made it look easy tonight. Kevin de Bruyne gets an early dart as youngster Cole Palmer gets on.
Raheem Sterling (81 mins)
It's textbook Manchester City. Kevin de Bruyne gets into that space on the right wing and just whips the ball across goal without even looking up. It's a peach of a ball, and Raheem Sterling has a gift in the middle of the goal to slide it in.
Liverpool 1-0 Midtjylland
Liverpool now send on Roberto Firmino for goalscorer Diogo Jota. Klopp has had to use all of his big guns.
Marseille 0-2 Manchester City
If you compare the two side's touch maps from this game, it's easy to see why Man City (right) are cruising towards three points.

Thoroughly deserved goal for Manchester City. Phil Foden starts it going down the left side, it's a great cross into the back post, well done Raheem Sterling who heads it over to Ilkay Gundogan Gundogan is very calm just to stroke it in. Long overdue goal for City. That is the cue for a bunch of changes Pep Guardiola has been dying to make and he'll surely make them now.
Marseille 0-2 Manchester City
As soon as the ball hit the net Pep made some changes. John Stones, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva came on for Aymeric Laporte, and goalscorers Ferran Torres and Ilkay Gundogan.
