  1. Ajax lead Atalanta in Liverpool's grouppublished at 20:35 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2020

After defeat against Liverpool at home on matchday one Ajax are another side who will want to pick up three points tonight.

They've got the lead against Atalanta through former Southampton forward Dusan Tadic, from the penalty spot.

That group looks tight at the moment.

    Marseille 0-1 Manchester City

Utter dominance and ease for City so far. Just need a second goal to put this one to bed.

  3. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Liverpool 0-0 Midtjylland

Can only be a matter of time before we see James Milner play at centre-back.

  4. Atletico lead Salzburgpublished at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2020

In Group A, Atletico Madrid have taken the lead against Red Bull Salzburg through a Marcos Llorente penalty.

Bayern Munich have already won in that group tonight. They extended their Champions League winning streak to 13 games with a 2-1 win at Lokomotiv Moscow earlier.

  5. SUBSTITUTION - Fabinho offpublished at 30 mins

    Liverpool 0-0 Midtjylland

And Fabinho can't carry on. It's Rhys Williams, who is 19 and wearing the number 46 shirt, who comes on.

    Liverpool 0-0 Midtjylland

This could be bad news for LIverpool. Fabinho is down and hurt, he's shaking his head. He just pulled up while running back.

Who's next to go in at centre-half?

  7. Can't say it wasn't coming for City...published at 20:27 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2020

    Marseille 0-1 Manchester City

Hope Ederson's got a phone on him to get in touch with Aymeric Laporte (14).

Ferran Torres is the youngest Spaniard to score in three consecutive Champions League appearances (20y 241d). He's looked very much at home through the middle tonight.

Marseille are a shambles at the back. The last thing you want to do is play a neat through pass to Kevin de Bruyne. He didn't panic, many players would've taken a shot there but he knows had options in the box and he plays through Ferran Torres.

It's a deserved lead but I suspect Marseille manager Andre Villas-Boas is not too happy because they currently look a bit of a mess.

    Liverpool 0-0 Midtjylland

Liverpool are very flat. Almost like playing in an empty stadium without their usual attack in a 456th game since June is not the best idea.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has just waltzed through from the right but he can't find Takumi Minamino.

It was a tap-in but the weight of pass from Kevin de Bruyne was, as you'd expect, delightful.

  12. goal

GOAL - Marseille 0-1 Manchester Citypublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2020

    Ferran Torres (18 mins)

Self inflicted. A dreadful error at the back from Marseille as Valentin Rongier passes it straight to Kevin de Bruyne on the edge of the area.

He squares it, Ferran Torres is bang in front and onside and makes no mistake. Buried.

  13. Porto lead in Man City's grouppublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2020

There's been a goal in the other game in Manchester City's group.

After losing on matchday one at City, Porto could do with winning their home game against Olympiakos tonight.

And they are doing just that...

Fabio Vieira, who is just 20, has given the Portuguese champions the lead.

    Marseille 0-0 Manchester City

A City goal is surely incoming, they are all over the hosts. Raheem Sterling finds Ilkay Gundogan in that inside right pocket, he cuts it across but Ferran Torres can't quite get there.

Oleksandr Zinchenko fires it back in from the left and Steve Mandanda misses it but Marseille get it clear.

  16. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Liverpool 0-0 Midtjylland

Liverpool haven't had a shot on goal yet. That early chance for Anders Dreyer is the only one to mention so far.

  17. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Marseille 0-0 Manchester City

Kevin de Bruyne dominating the game so far, he's everywhere in that City midfield. Raheem Sterling tees him up for a shot but he must have five players all in white charging him down.

  18. 'City are zipping the ball around'published at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 27 October 2020

    Marseille 0-0 Manchester City

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

When you watch Manchester City on Champions League nights sometimes they don't really go for it full pace, they just slowly pass it around and strangle the game and take control of it. They're not doing that tonight they're zipping it around, they look as though they want to score early. Particularly on the left hand side, City look dangerous.

    Liverpool 0-0 Midtjylland

Set-pieces are big for Midtjylland. Director Rasmus Ankersen told BBC World Service Sport this week, and I'm paraphrasing here, but something like "we are used to a poor team becoming mediocre because of set-pieces, but we have a problem with a good team becoming outstanding because of set-pieces."

    A fair point.
