Pickford does really well to dive and push away Raphinha's header. Leeds keep the ball in play and Jack Harrison's low shot is pushed up over the bar off the line by Ben Godfrey.

Luke Ayling is the first man to be booked. It comes from a running battle with Richarlison that prevented the Brazilian breaking.

James Rodriguez has the ball in the net but the flag is up. He was just off to collect Richarlison's deep cross.

It was brilliant from the Colombian, though. Chested the ball down and then fired it into the far corner.

Daddy M&N: The amount of chances created and wasted by Leeds in their game is shocking.

Leeds denied again. They drive forward down the left and eventually a cross breaks for Bamford just 12 yards out. He has just Pickford to beat, but the keeper is able to save with his boot. Should have scored.

Stuart Dallas is very much doing a man-to-man marking job on James Rodriguez, following the Colombian wherever he goes. Leeds do man mark all over the pitch, though.

Oh, Pickford does a bit of juggling with a Dallas cross into the box. He drops it but not close enough to Raphinha for the Leeds winger to be able to capitalise.

Richarlison is down and hurt after Meslier slides to claim the ball at his feet. Looks like he is holding his knee.

He eventually gets back up gingerly, ready to carry on.

Carlo Ancelotti has bemoaned his side's defending in recent weeks and he was fuming after that Jack Harrison chance.

Mason Holgate was the one to give the ball away which led to the Leeds counter-attack, and is probably thankful he was a good distance away from the Italian.

Now Kalvin Phillips has a shot that is deflected, the ball spinning straight into the grasp of Jordan Pickford. Very entertaining game so far.

Allan shows some neat footwork to beat Mateusz Klick in midfield before pushing into the Leeds half. He finds Richarlison, but his shot has the sting taken out of it by a deflection, making Ilian Meslier's save an easy one.

Oh, Leeds should be ahead. It is a superb and rapid break from Raphinha that sees him drive deep into Everton territory before playing a low ball across the box for Jack Harrison. He has just Pickford to beat but puts his shot past the post.

It is two sides fully intent on going forward. Jack Harrison flicks the ball into Patrick Bamford's path and his shot is blocked on the edge of the box.

So, Alex Iwobi is left wing-back and Tom Davies is on the right for Everton. It is through Davies that Everton create their first (and a very good) chance, via a cross that Abdoulaye Doucoure slides in to poke goalwards and force Ilian Meslier into a fine save.

Burnley

Burnley manager Sean Dyche to MOTD: "You can't start a game with a gameplan then throw it out of the window with a mistake that early against these. Here, it is really tough then. They use the ball so well and there's movement everywhere so it becomes a tough afternoon, which it was.

"We have got injuries galore at the moment. We recovered then got four or five more this week. We played into their hands. We played a short pass which wasn't needed. We wanted to put it on top of them but we didn't do it.

"When they turn up, you probably aren't going to win a game but I expected more from this group. You can't start a game like that. I said this to the players afterwards. 0-0 is when it is key. We normally do that to be fair. Coming here today we were off it. There was that backfoot tendancy and with these, they smell it.

"Tough one for Bailey Peacock-Farrell in goal. Josh Benson I was really pleased for. Ashley Westwood did a shift for him. A really tough debut. He did himself no harm at all with the way he conducted himself and went about it."
