  1. Fans to be eased back inpublished at 12:09 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

So, we might actually have some fans back in grounds soon. This might just be me, but I'm not sure I'd want to be one of 2,000 inside a 50,000-seater stadium for a game. I've missed live football of course, but sat apart from others, celebrating on your own, watching someone four rows in front try in vain to get a Mexican Wave going. I think I'd rather wait for the full hit of a sell-out crowd before I go back.

Finally, if you want to get a sense of just what Maradona meant to the people of Argentina, you need only see the gathering of fans at the presidential palace in Buenos Aires, who are paying their final respects to football legend Diego Maradona.

Three days of national mourning have begun after the national hero died of a heart attack on Wednesday, aged 60.

  5. Hand of Godpublished at 11:51 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

    Tim Vickery
BBC Sport South American football expert

In the history of football's World Cup, it is arguable that no player has ever hit the heights achieved by Argentina's Diego Maradona in 1986.

Brazil's Pele, usually seen as Maradona's rival in the quest to be considered the best ever, won the competition three times surrounded by colleagues of outstanding quality.

But many football fans would struggle to name many of Maradona's team-mates from 1986.

In game after game in the Mexican sunshine Maradona was an individual genius and a collective strategist.

    Guillem Balague
    Spanish football journalist

It was less than a month ago that I wrote how Diego Maradona had, against all odds, reached his 60th birthday. A day, I suggested, many had doubted this most complex of men would see.

As we mourn his passing, it seems almost irrelevant to say that we could all see this coming, that we knew his body was gradually giving up, and his mind was beginning to struggle, because somehow where Diego Armando Maradona was concerned, the normal rules never seemed to apply.

As much as I thought I knew Maradona, I realised once I began to research my book on him that I knew virtually nothing.

It has been a rough week for football, with the death of arguably the finest player ever to partake in the sport - Diego Maradona.

The former Argentina attacking midfielder and manager, who was captain when Argentina won the 1986 World Cup, scoring the famous 'Hand of God' goal against England in the quarter-finals, suffered a heart attack at his Buenos Aires home. He was 60 years old.

We've endeavoured this week to provide you with as much content as we can to help you understand just how important Maradona was to the game and to his home country.

  8. Lawro's predictionpublished at 11:36 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

    Brighton v Liverpool (12:30 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    Ex-Liverpool defender

Brighton will be without their best player at the moment, Tariq Lamptey, who is suspended, but I did not really fancy them much in this one anyway.

If Brighton try to play their way out from the back again, like they did in July when Liverpool nicked the ball off them and scored a couple of early goals, they will be in trouble. This will be a hard enough test for Graham Potter's side anyway.

Liverpool have played Brighton six times in the Premier League in the past three seasons, and won every time. I know the Reds still have lots of injuries but I think this will be win number seven.

    Prediction: 0-2

Interesting. Very interesting. Sadio Mane on the bench, getting a rest. Takumi Minamino in, along with Firmino, Salah and Jota. Suggests a 4-2-3-1 from Klopp.

Brighton are sure gonna miss Lamptey.

    Brighton v Liverpool (12:30 GMT)

Brighton make two changes as they leave Adam Lallana on the bench against his former club, with Aaron Connolly returning to the stating line-up. Joel Veltman replaces the suspended Tariq Lamptey.

Brighton: Ryan, White, Webster, Veltman, Dunk, Bissouma, March, Gross, Connolly, Welbeck, Maupay.

Liverpool make six changes from the slightly weakened side who lost to Atalanta.

Fabinho, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Andy Robertson are all back in, as are Takumi Minamino and Nathaniel Phillips.

Jordan Henderson is on the bench after a hamstring injury.

Liverpool: Alisson, Robertson, Phillips, N Williams, Milner, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Minamino, Jota, Salah, Firmino.

West Brom v Sheffield United (20:00 GMT)

West Brom pair Jake Livermore and Kieran Gibbs have served their period of self-isolation after contracting Covid-19.

However, head coach Slaven Bilic says one of them is unlikely to recover in time to play on Saturday.

Sheffield United forward Lys Mousset will be available for the first time this season after foot surgery.

Enda Stevens and another player that manager Chris Wilder declined to name are both injury doubts.

    Everton v Leeds (17:30 GMT)

Everton left-back Lucas Digne requires surgery on an ankle ligament injury sustained during training and could miss up to three months.

Captain Seamus Coleman is still sidelined with a hamstring problem, while Jean-Philippe Gbamin is a long-term absentee.

Leeds United have no new injury concerns for the trip to Goodison Park.

Rodrigo could return to the starting line-up after impressing as a substitute in the draw with Arsenal.

Man City v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has a fully-fit squad, with Nathan Ake available after a two-match absence.

Sergio Aguero is seeking to make his first start for five weeks.

Burnley goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell is on standby to make his Premier League debut if Nick Pope is ruled out because of the head injury he sustained against Crystal Palace.

Midfielders Dale Stephens and Robbie Brady are unlikely to be ready to return following hamstring injuries.

Might as well give you the early team news for the rest of today's games now. Ordinarily, this would be a nice, little heads up to sort your fantasy team. But that boat has sailed my friends, thanks to a game between Crystal Palace and Newcastle that I did the live text commentary for last night and will never speak of again.

    Brighton v Liverpool (12:30 GMT)

It just so happens, though, the team news is actually positive for Liverpool this weekend.

Mohamed Salah is likely to start, having returned from a period of self-isolation against Atalanta.

Jordan Henderson was absent on Wednesday with a hamstring problem but is back in training and could feature.

Not quite so good for the home side, however. Albion defender and one of this season's break-out stars, Tariq Lamptey, will be unavailable due to suspension.

Davy Propper is fit again after a stomach bug but Alexis Mac Allister, despite returning to training following a recent positive Covid-19 test, won't feature.

  16. 'We are all done'published at 11:03 Greenwich Mean Time 28 November 2020

    Brighton v Liverpool (12:30 GMT)

In case you missed the Klopp fixture rant, here it is in a nutshell...

The German feels Liverpool might struggle to end the season with 11 players and warned "we are all done" unless broadcasters talk to each other about the football schedule.

He was speaking to Sky Sports after his side's 3-0 win over Leicester City.

Liverpool played Atalanta on Wednesday and Brighton this lunchtime.

"Everybody tells me it is difficult but it is really difficult for the players. The rest is just a decision on a desk in an office," Klopp said.

In an impassioned interview with Sky's Geoff Shreeves, which was shown by international broadcasters, Klopp said: "If you don't start talking to BT, we are all done.

"Sky and BT have to talk. If we keep playing on Wednesday and Saturday 12:30 I am not sure if we will finish the season with 11 players."

He's not alone. Klopp, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and Manchester United counterpart Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have all criticised the TV timings in recent weeks.

    Brighton v Liverpool (12:30 GMT)

    Jurgen KloppImage source, Getty Images

If Jurgen Klopp had his way, Liverpool wouldn't be playing this lunchtime. But that is exactly what is happening. And that being the case, you may as well make the most of it, right Jurgen?

Yes, Liverpool will return to what has become their comfy, worn-in spot in the Premier League with anything but a defeat at Brighton today after Tottenham had the temerity to occupy it last weekend.

The Reds lost at home midweek, which hardly ever happens. So they're smarting, their boss is smarting and they're out for blood.

    Good luck Brighton.
