As someone with three Leeds players and two Southampton players in their fantasy football team looking forward to a big double game week, I cannot tell you how annoying that is.

Southampton's Premier League game with Leeds next Wednesday is postponed.

That is because Southampton are playing Shrewsbury in a rearranged FA Cup tie the previous day.

Brighton try a clever free-kick as Alexis Mac Allister tries to pass it down the wing to Leandro Trossard.

Trossard doesn't get there, although he ends up on the ball a few seconds later in a different phase of play. They fail to create a chance.

I have attended scores of press conferences over the last three years where Pep Guardiola's handling of Phil Foden has been questioned.

It has generally been along the lines of Foden not getting enough chances, particularly compared to Jadon Sancho, who flourished after leaving Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund.

But watching Foden now, you can see Guardiola's guiding hand.

It looks like his development has been handled perfectly.

Brighton make changes now. Percy Tau's Premier League debut is over as Neal Maupay replaces him.

City have a striker now as Gabriel Jesus replaces Riyad Mahrez, who has had a pretty decent game.

Currently over 40% of the action is being played in the Brighton defensive third.

Joao Cancelo runs down the right for City and then cuts inside. He waits for a tackle which never comes and has a crack himself. Good save by Robert Sanchez.

Sanchez is immediately needed again to save a low Kevin de Bruyne blast.

Brighton are probably having their best 10 minutes of the game so far. They are making a real game of it.

Joel Veltman fouls Phil Foden near the corner flag and gets booked. I think there was a quick VAR check for a red card - the tackle was a bit reckless - but yellow is the final verdict.

The speed in which Manchester City can play through Brighton. Riyad Mahrez is causing mayhem in there right now. Bernando Silva knew exactly what he was doing with that one but Brighton saved by the crossbar.

Tottenham, who brushed aside eighth-tier side Marine on Sunday to advance to the fourth round of the FA Cup, make 10 changes for the London derby against Fulham.

Among the long list that Spurs boss Jose Mourinho brings back into the starting line-up is Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Hugo Lloris, and Eric Dier. Dele Alli drops to the bench, where he joins Gareth Bale.

Fulhamboss Scott Parker makes six changes following Saturday’s FA Cup third round win over west London rivals QPR.

Top scorer Bobby Decordova-Reid returns to the starting side after coming off the bench to get their first goal in extra time against QPR.

Aleksandar Mitrovic, who started for Fulham against QPR despite breaking Covid rules, misses out.

City go even closer. Ilkay Gundogan forces a low save from the keeper and the rebound comes to Bernardo Silva. He nutmegs a defender and blasts a shot off the crossbar.

It should be 2-0. Riyad Mahrez is in acres of space in the box as he latches onto a ball over the top. He just tries to curl the ball into the far corner but it's just wide.

There was definitely a shove but I think it may be that Phil Foden just lost his balance a little bit. But it's one of those decisions that some referees might have given a penalty. It would've been the softest of softest penalties.
