Arsenal are really let off there. It was a great run from Raheem Sterling, getting on the wrong side of Hector Bellerin, but his cut back allows Rob Holding to get back. It should have been 2-0!

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Arsenal need to wake up before it's 5-0.

Riyad Mahrez is getting the better of Kieran Tierney. He holds it up then slips it to Kevin de Bruyne but his cut-back is intercepted.

Seconds later, De Bruyne feeds it through to Raheem Sterling in the box. He checks inside, should shoot and probably score, but ends up dribbling it into the goalkeeper's feet.

    He could have a hat-trick!

  3. 'Criminal that Sterling can score a header'published at 16:34 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2021

It is brilliant play from Manchester City. It's a lovely switch ball out and he cuts back onto his left foot and you know what he's going to do but you've got to get tighter.

Raheem Sterling's presence isn't one of his big attributes but Rob Holding is nowhere near him.

It's a good goal by Manchester City but it's a shocking start from Arsenal. It's criminal that Raheem Sterling can beat your two centre-backs in the air to score a header.

Ah. You can't give Raheem Sterling two chances within the opening two minutes! Criminal.

Riyad Mahrez teases the full-back on the right then lifts it into the middle. Sterling, one of the smallest men on the pitch, gets there ahead of Rob Holding.

He nods it into the left corner. Ruthless.

Quick start from Man City. It's moved through the middle nicely before Ilkay Gundogan's cross comes to Raheem Sterling at the back post.

He takes a swipe at it - completely missing the ball - and Arsenal are able to get it away. Sterling chuckles to himself.

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers to BBC Sport: "It was a fantastic result for us on the back of some tough travel in Europe. I was very pleased.

"We conceded a disappointing goal which changed the momentum of the game but we still had chances to score. All round there were elements to make me very happy.

"Both players [Barnes and Maddison] are super talented, and the beauty is that they are only going to get better. They are both pretty new to the Premier League.

"Harvey looks like he's going to score in every game, he was sensational today.

"James had an issue with his hip last season so we'll assess that. He felt some pain so as a precaution we took him off."

  7. 'Our football was excellent'published at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2021

    FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers, speaking to Sky Sports: "I was absolutely delighted. I thought some of our football and the speed of our game was really really good. We didn’t have too many concerns defensively.

"We gave away a cheap goal, and when you do that in the second half it gives the opponents a bit of momentum for the next 15-20 minutes. Once we weathered that I thought we still had chances in the second half.

"After midweek travel and a European game, the players really have to show their spirit and quality. I was so pleased and very proud of the team.

"Our energy was good and the quality of our football was excellent. Some of our attacking play was very good."

On Harvey Barnes and James Maddison: "They’re getting better all the time. Maddison occupied the spaces really well. He’s so creative. Harvey I thought was incredible. His finish looked easy but it wasn’t. Both those boys are improving constantly."

On Barnes' form: "When you’re a young player it’s about adjusting and adapting. His confidence and finishing is much better. He looks like he’s going to score in every game he plays. He’s a great learner and a big talent."

On Leicester's top-four hopes: "We were able to go in and reflect on last season and go through it in pre-season. There’s a greater calmness. We’re playing some great football, but at times you have to dig in and have spirit, and we were able to do that."

Pep Guardiola has two starting XIs and it's unbelievable. No matter who he picks they are always putting in a good performance - they've got their energy, their mojo back and the desire to get a clean sheet.

There's a new zest about Manchester City. There was always question marks about whether Guardiola could go again and do another three-year cycle and he's proved that he can.

  12. 'Can't give Leicester a two-goal start'published at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2021

    FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Leicester

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith on BBC Radio 5 Live: "The slow start certainly cost us the game - we weren't good enough. We started very slowly, played everything in front of them and let them play in our half. It became a game of two halves but if you give a team like Leicester a two-goal head start it's tough to come back.

"You have to give credit to Leicester too - they didn't give us much time on the ball in the first half and it wasn't until I had a few words at half-time that we started to go in behind."

On Jack Grealish: "I expect him to pushing, if not for Leeds, then the week after but I'll be guided by the medical staff. They haven't told me how long he'll be out for yet, so the speculation is great. We'll just see how it goes."

  13. 'I hope Grealish could be back next week'published at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2021

    Aston Villa 1-2 Leicester

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith to MOTD: "Poor first half, good second half to sum it up. You have to earn the right to play sometimes, and you can't give a team like Leicester a two-goal start.

"They were better than us in the first half but they were hanging on at the end.

"Jack Grealish has had discomfort in training, we'll assess it as we go. It's not a recurrence of an old injury and it's not long-term. I hope he'll be back for Leeds next week."

  14. 'City churning out wins'published at 16:23 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2021

Arsenal v Manchester City (16:30 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

Arsenal always look more dangerous to me when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is playing through the middle, and it is a big boost for them to have him back in the team and scoring.

But Manchester City just keep churning out wins. They are playing really well anyway, and they have got Kevin de Bruyne and Sergio Aguero on the way back to full fitness, which is going to make them even better.

    Prediction: 1-3

  15. 'Any team would miss Grealish'published at 16:22 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2021

    Aston Villa 1-2 Leicester

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith to Sky Sports: "It was a game of two halves. They started well, were aggressive and we played in front of them. We had to stretch the game and we did that in the second half.

"We never went anywhere with the ball in the first half, didn't put any balls in behind. In the second half we played in their half which is what we had to do. They were hanging on at the end to get the win.

"You are always going to miss a top class player, take Jack Grealish out of any team and you'd miss him but the XI that was out there was good enough to win.

"We created chances, got in good areas, we have players who can score goals."

No Arteta is not the man for the job unless Gooners want pretty football, the occasional cup and nothing else. Not enough attention to defence and in that respect he is the same as Wenger and Emery.

  17. 'It was 45 minutes too late'published at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2021

    FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Leicester

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn, speaking to Sky Sports: “They were hanging on near the end. The first half wasn’t good enough from us, we lost two goals. We had to get in their faces a bit more and show more belief. We did that in the second half.

“It was 45 minutes too late today. It was nothing to do with tactics – Leicester just seemed half a yard sharper. In the second half we were a lot brighter and caused them a lot of problems.

“We can still make it a special season. We just need to get back and creating chances and keeping clean sheets, like we’ve been good at.”

On Jack Grealish’s absence: “Any team in the league is going to miss Jack, but there are going to be periods where we need to do without him.”

Arsenal v Manchester City (16:30 GMT)

    Karen Carney
Former England and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

No matter what combination Man City play, it will be a joy to watch.

I expect Kevin de Bruyne to play in the 'false nine' role, with Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez giving the width. Fernandinho will hold and then Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan will just join in and have fun in that midfield role. It will be really good to see.

Both sides are looking at Europe in midweek. Arsenal looked tired against Benfica so I'm not surprised the likes of Emile Smith Rowe are on the bench.

  19. 'Everything is weird'published at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2021

Arsenal v Manchester City (16:30 GMT)

    Manchester City

Man City boss Pep Guardiola speaking to Sky Sports: "I have done many, many times this year [changing the team]. Everything is weird, you know.

"We will try to play good. It doesn't matter what positions people play. If we move then we will find the space to attack.

"If there is one person who knows better than anyone it is Mikel Arteta. Especially the individual qualities of the players, he knows absolutely all of us. It is good for him!"

Arsenal's defence has significantly improved this season, but if City play today as they have been recently, we have absolutely no chance. I've already written this game off, even if we play well.
