That was great defending from Luke Thomas - he just got his body in there to stop Bertrand Traore being able to get there. Thomas has had a really good game.

You can't see Barkley or Ruben Loftus-Cheek getting back into the Chelsea midfield, can you? Thomas Tuchel won't know who about 45 people are when they rock up for pre-season. A bigger squad than the Dallas Cowboys.

Villa are looking to build some late pressure, Matt Target clips another fine ball in from the left but Bertrand Traore can't connect this time.

Ross Barkley has had 75 minutes and he hasn't done much so what else can Dean Smith do? Barkley is unhappy, he's done that before, but why not give Jacob Ramsey a go?

Ross Barkley, who just pinged the most delicious crossfield pass, comes off and Jacob Ramsey on.

Leicester rest the superb Ricardo for a few minutes with Daniel Amartey on.

Makes sense. At Barnes' age Vardy was still at Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Alex English: With Vardy ageing, do they have a potential replacement with Barnes? Ability to run in behind, unreal pace, good finisher... Only 23 so has time to fine tune some of Vardys abilities...

He is still electric isn't he? Jamie Vardy lights up down the right wing and burns away from Tyrone Mings, turning a hopeful clip over the top into a good ball.

He has company in the middle but goes for goal, again Emi Martinez does well to kill off the angle and he can only find the side-netting.

Good keeping from Emi Martinez, who has been a touch shaky today by his own high standards. He sweeps up off his line in a flash to stop Jamie Vardy from running in behind the Villa defence.

I signed Morgan Sanson for Hearts once on a long-running FM game and he was superb. For that reason alone, get him on.

Trézéguet will bring energy on the left, but I still think Morgan Sanson could come on in midfield in the next 10 minutes.

That change sees Youri Tielemans go further forwards for Leicester, who have gathered themselves after the Villa goal and look more in control of the game again.

Villa are making a change now as Anwar el Ghazi comes off and Trezeguet comes on.

It makes no sense to risk a long-term injury to James Maddison so it makes sense to bring Nampalys Mendy on.
