Bruno Fernandes' assist was his 12th of the season across all comps, only Kevin de Bruyne (15), Harry Kane (14) and Son Heung-Min (13) have more amongst PL players.

The Portugal international is also the third player within Europe's top five leagues this season to reach double figures for both goals and assists (14 goals, 10 assists) in league matches, alongside Harry Kane (13G, 11A) and Thomas Muller (10G, 10A).

That goal has settled the home side down and they are keeping the ball nicely, just trying to frustrate Newcastle more than anything. They may well need a third and Marcus Rashford hits a curling shot from range straight at Karl Darlow.

Daniel James has scored in three consecutive appearances now. He took that goal brilliantly well.

Newcastle reacted realy well to going behind in the first half, let's see if they can mount a response this time.

Instead it's Anthony Martial who comes alive, beating his man sharply to get into the box and hit a swerving, stinging shot that Karl Darlow turns away!

I think Bruno Fernandes got a touch on that to tee it up, anyway.

Newcastle have worked out when to press and when to sit in - this hasn't been a defensive display at all from Newcastle.

There are times when you have to respect the opposition and the phase of the game and soak it up for a couple of minutes.
