Credit to Southampton. They went a goal down but regrouped, built up some good momentum and got themselves back in the game.

Five minutes of this half to go. It's been a good one. Pretty even, which is reflected in the score.

Che Adams must be a nightmare to play against. Never stops running. He wins a free-kick that is swung into the middle by James Ward-Prowse. Brighton get fortunate with the ball popping up off a couple of bodies for Sanchez to snatch.

Welbeck is again almost in behind the Southampton defence. Great run, but the header to try to steer the ball towards goal is weak.

Southampton have certainly been the better team since Brighton scored.

They have got to get Leandro Trossard and Pascal Gross on the ball, neither of them are having an impact on the game, really.

Pascal Gross' free-kick is a good one, right into the corridor of uncertainty between defence and keeper. A few Brighton players make a move but can't get in there for a goal-bound touch.

Brighton keep up the pressure and almost get Welbeck in but he can't get the ball down, allowing Saints to clear.

Maupay goes down under a challenge from Bednarek as the two chase a long pass forward. That'll be a free-kick in Saints territory.

Dunk was the defender who the ball dropped over for the Adams goal. I say that, but he actually got a light touch. Just not enough. Great volley from the Saints forward.

This is turning out very nice for us neutrals. Not sure what it'll be doing for Brighton or Saints fans.

The home side have their tails up. Minamino fires a low shot that Sanchez is right behind to save.

Southampton have reacted well to going a goal down. They have got themselves higher up the pitch, pressing and probing.

Really good finish, takes his time, waits for it to drop, catches it really well.

Amazing what a goal can do.

Seen a few tweets saying the ball wasn't within the corner quadrant when it was taken for the goal. It's a legitimate gripe, but let's be honest, it's got to be a pretty common unpunished offence in the game.

Also, what does that extra inch actually gain? I'm pretty sure it wasn't the reason the ball was there for Dunk to head in.

Saints look to respond. Takumi Minamino's initial shot is blocked but the attack continues, with Ben White forced to slide in to out a low cross behind. There won't be a corner, though. The flag is up for offside.

Only West Brom have conceded more than Southampton this season. Their form really has fallen off a cliff.

One win in 10 league games is currently under threat of becoming 11.

Great header from the captain, powerful, he wanted it more. There was nobody on the posts for Southampton and the keeper can't get down to it.

It's a brilliant header and it’s a great ball in, the pace on it really helps the header. Just what his team needed.

That could be a massive goal for the Seagulls. A win here takes them three points above Fulham in 17th with a game still in hand.

Southampton's nerves are jangling. It won't do much for Newcastle fans' optimism either.

Both sides are just trying to work each other out here, who’s picking who up, what system each team is playing.

They are not their normal, fluid self at the moment, Brighton.

Kyle Walker-Peters is very far forward. It's what he does. He almost reaches a long ball into Brighton territory but fails with a slide, the ball skipping out of play. Good attacking intent, though.

Leandro Trossard is in the wars. He is holding his face following a clash with a Southampton player. Nothing devious, just an accidental whack to the cheek.
