I thought this would be rubbish, but it's really quite good!

Southampton 1-2 Burnley
I'm not one to defend billionaire owners of football clubs but it's a hard gig these days isn't it? Southampton may not have spent much this season but there are global economic reasons for being prudent.
I'm sure Sean Dyche would take their annual outlay in a heartbeat.

Enough already! Bring in Bilic now to save our season and the outside chance of silverware. Ralph you can't do anymore with this lot!
Jim
As a Southampton fan, I ask our owner Mr Gao to do the decent thing and sell the club to someone, unlike him, that has some ambition and is prepared to spend some money.
Andy, Southampton
Southampton 1-2 Burnley
In the aftermath of that goal Burnley do change a left-back - Charlie Taylor is now onfor the injured Erik Pieters.
Chris Wood and Matej Vydra nearly link up once more. Could be 5-5 this!
Stuart Armstrong (31 mins)
And they do get the next goal! It's a very entertaining match indeed! What a good goal this is as well.
James Ward-Prowse turns a ball around the corner to Danny Ings, who flicks it cleverly into the path of Stuart Armstrong. The midfielder lets fly from outside the area and it fairly flies past Nick Pope.
It wasn't right in the corner though. England's number one keeper should probably be doing better with those.
Southampton 0-2 Burnley
Southampton are in a sorry state indeed but it remains an open game. Get the next goal and you never know.
You can't knock Burnley though, they have looked excellent so far.

Rachel isn't wrong. Ralph needs to leave to save his career. Board have no interest in Saints being a Prem team and now neither do the players.
Tom
Oh no. Not again. that's another 3 points gone in this horrendous run... Can I wake up in 2 months when it's all over and then enjoy the championship as this is just misery being compounded.
Paul, a very sad Saints fan
Matej Vydra (28 mins)
That's a lovely goal! We had a debate here yesterday about the pros and cons of possession football but this is an advert for playing direct.
A long ball forward finds Chris Wood with his back to goal, he wins a terrific flick-on into the path of strike partner Matej Vydra and he thunders a left-footed shot past/through Fraser Forster and in.
Back to front in no time at all. I love that.
Southampton 0-1 Burnley
He's carrying on. Burnley do have Charlie Taylor on the bench if they need him.
Southampton 0-1 Burnley
I think Erik Pieters jarred his knee into the turf as he tried to block a shot - he collided with James Tarkowski as well. He's up and moving now but not exactly sharply.
Southampton 0-1 Burnley
We've got a penalty appeal at the other end now as Burnley don't clear the corner. Jan Bednarek goes down in a heap as he tries to get a shot off but it's waved away.
Erik Pieters is now down hurt again for Burnley and he looks in pain.
Southampton 0-1 Burnley
Hmmm. Not sure how high up that shortlist he would be at the moment Rachel.
For all the doom and gloom out there there's plenty of talent in this Southampton side isn't there? Or is it just me.
Nathan Redmond shows good feet on the edge of the area to find a yard and hammer in a low shot which Nick Pope has to push away.

Adam Heap: No problems with that call. The pulling and pushing in the lead up was 50/50 but the tackle was a pretty clear foul. VAR does its job.
Rachel Fleming: Ralph Hasenhuttl should become the Germany manager and leave Southampton to their fate. A poor squad with an excellent manager.
Southampton 0-1 Burnley
Dwight McNeil fizzes in a peach of a ball from the left which Fraser Forster does well to gather. Needed all of his mammoth frame to get to that cross before Chris Wood.
Wood has now scored in three straight Premier League appearances - his joint-longest run within a single season in the competition.
Not a popular call then?

Josh Richards: VAR yet again proving how much of a shambles it is. Why have they not shown the earlier foul just before KWP’s.

Absolute joke. KwP wouldn't have made that tackle if he wasn't pulled back in the first place. Var is embarrassing
Chris
Southampton 0-1 Burnley
That was just reward for an excellent start from Burnley. Sam Alalrdyce and Sean Dyche setting the tempo on away days so far this weekend.
Is Southampton's horror run about to continue?
Chris Wood (Pen 12 mins)
Dispatched! Chris Wood drills the penalty straight down the middle. That's his 41st goal in the Premier League for Burnley - which ties him with Ashley Barnes as the club's leading scorer in the competition.
Chris Wood to take.
