    Newcastle 1-1 Tottenham

Fair play to Tottenham. They've managed the game since the opening goal very intelligently. They got on the ball, took the sting out of it and set the foundations for that equaliser.

Just for two minutes there Newcastle's energy dropped off, and the minute it dropped off, they were cut apart, totally.

There was nobody anywhere near Tanguy Ndombele, he's got to be closed down. He's picked his spot and it's a lovely goal.

    Balloon popped.

This is an excellent finish from Tanguy Ndombele, who is set up near the edge of the box by Sergio Reguilon and makes no mistake with a fine finish into the corner of the net.

It is greeted by the first bit of silence from the Newcastle fans, who immediately rally to roar away their disappointment.

It flows so easily for Newcastle at the moment, they're playing the ball beautifully along the ground, they're using their width really well.

The noise in this place every time Allan Saint-Maximin gets the ball... what a lift that must give him as a player.

Spurs have certainly taken hold of possession. They had to really to take the sting out of that early surge from Newcastle.

They've done little with it so far, though. Lucas Moura highlights that by hammering a cross over everyone in the box and out of play.

    Newcastle 1-0 Tottenham

Spurs more of a presence in the game now. Tanguy Ndombele's shot is blocked and Pierre Emile Hojbjerg's low shot lacks the power to threaten.

Andy: Bruce's job might be on the line but so are a lot of the players as well. No surprise they have got off to a flyer.

Jim: It’s really nice of Tottenham to let Newcastle have their day and have clearly agreed to just roll over!

Ronan: Incredible how much of a difference a positive atmosphere can make.

Tottenham try to hit Son Heung-min early but the Newcastle defence mop up well. That initial surge has just subsided a tad now.

Some of the flicks and tricks Newcastle are trying right now - they're mainlining confidence at the moment.

Talk about getting an injection, it's a lot more than that. It's absolutely extraordinary.

We've just seen Joelinton try to flick the ball over two defenders with the outside of his boot, how often do you see him trying things like that?

Newcastle players are flying into tackles. They are bang up for this. Tanguy Ndombele feels it as he is clattered by Isaac Hayden. That one is most certainly a foul.

It was a brilliant, flowing goal, a real belief about every single player involved in that move.

When you've got a striker like Callum Wilson up there too, they love a good striker round here.

OK, calm down everyone. Joelinton is still Joelinton. He charges forward but sends his in-field pass to nobody, allowing Spurs to gather.
