Chelsea will look to exploit that space in behind and get Sam Kerr on the ball.

It looks like Kerr is being double marked though.

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

Leicester are still going to be proactive in this second period by the look of things. Molly Pike screws an effort off the bar, before another effort is blocked.

Chelsea have a corner at the other end, though...

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

    Decent start from the hosts.

They win a free-kick high up on the left, and a really good delivery is glanced wide by Millie Bright.

Bright has had a couple of good opportunities now.

No wasting time for Emma Hayes. She is making a double change at the start of this second half.

Sam Kerr, who has five league goals this season, and Pernille Harder replace Beth England and Drew Spence.

Struggle in the first half? Bring on two Ballon d'Or nominees. It's not bad.

Manchester City v Manchester United: Georgia Stanway sent-off for challenge on Leah Galton

Manchester City forward Georgia Stanway says she received abuse after being sent off in the WSL game against rivals Manchester United.

The England international, 22, was dismissed after 35 minutes for a poorly-timed challenge on Leah Galton.

Stanway wrote on Twitter: "I should not have to log into social media and find myself subjected to abusive messages - remember we are all human.

"There was no malice intended and I'm glad Leah was OK and able to carry on."

Tottenham travel to Brighton today looking to maintain their 100% WSL record this season.

Spurs are enjoying their best ever start to a top-flight campaign and boss Rehanne Skinnersays "it's important that we don't take our foot off the gas" for this one.

Spurs have beaten Brighton three times in four WSL meeting since been promoted to the top flight. And it's a statistic not lost of Brighton manager Hope Powell.

"They are a bit like our nemesis," Powell said.

"We've always had really tough games against Tottenham. It should be an interesting encounter.

  12. 'Chelsea aren't at their best'published at 13:23 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

    Samantha Miller
Ex-Tottenham, West Ham and London Bees player on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Chelsea aren't quite at their best today. They’ve got players coming in who haven’t been starting this season and who are trying to ease themselves into the game.

We know Chelsea can play at a much higher tempo. Leicester can be really pleased with their first-half performance.

  13. Postpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

Chelsea, as you would expect, have dominated possession so far, having 69.3% in that first half. They've had eight shots, but only three have hit the target. There was only really that one effort from Jessie Fleming, that was from 20 yards, that has had Kirstie Levell stretching to make a save.

Leicester, who haven't won a point so far this season, will be delighted with their first-half efforts.

    Hmmmm.

Chelsea swing a ball in from the right, and Kirstie Levell ends up on the floor, but more because of her own defender, and the referee blows for a foul.

The loose ball was dragged wide by Jonna Andersson anyway.

  17. 'Leicester getting into a good shape'published at 13:15 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

    Samantha Miller
Ex-Tottenham, West Ham and London Bees player on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Leicester's attackers are having to get back and help defend, but when they are getting back they’re getting into a good shape and making it difficult for Chelsea to get through them.

It’s a lot of work for their attackers today.

  18. CLOSE!published at 43 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

The first corner is punched behind by Kirstie Levell, and Chelsea take the second really quickly.

It is nodded back at the back post, and Millie Bright drags it just with a thunderous left-foot strike.

Chelsea are creating, but Levell isn't really being tested.

  19. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

Another brilliant ball into the box from Jonna Andersson, but Hannah Cain is back and in a good position for Leicester and she nods behind, with Niamh Charles lurking again.

  20. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

Ashleigh Plumptre has been really impressive, and solid, for Leicester so far.

After that covering tackle to deny Fran Kirby, she outmuscles Beth England before blocking a goal-bound volley from England.

Chelsea have only had three shots on target so far. Jonathan Morgan will be pretty happy with his Leicester side.
