Eeek. Ryan Sessegnon tries to stop a ball reaching Jordan Henderson in the box and ends up heading it towards his own goal. Mohamed Salah is closing in as Hugo Lloris has to make a diving save to parry it away!

Luis Diaz turns on the burners, weaving in and out of challenges down the left. He cuts inside and gets a shot off but it's blocked by Eric Dier. Decent run!

Liverpool are finding it difficult to break down Spurs. They are looking for pockets to play in; there was frustration from Alexander-Arnold in the shot there.

Spurs are well drilled with a top manager.

Harry Kane's first touch is a good one and he spins past Fabinho. The Brazilian tries to make up for it with a sliding challenge but he clips the ankles of Kane.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's pass is intercepted on the edge of the box but Luis Diaz nips in and wins it back immediately off Ben Davies. It comes back across to Alexander-Arnold but he fires it over the bar.

Virgil van Dijk beats Eric Dier in the air and thumps a header towards goal. It's well wide in the end and he looks disappointed with it.

Thiago wins it back for Liverpool and finds Luis Diaz. He feeds in Jordan Henderson who has two players on him but he manages to win a corner after taking a heavy tackle.

Spurs' shape is 5-4-1, they are letting Liverpool have it in their half and when it is played into Tottenham's half, they are pressing. They are compact, diligent about their jobs, with Hojbjerg and Bentancur looking for Mane dropping off. When he tries to get the ball, they are swarming around him.

Mo Salah chests a long ball down in the box. He links up with Andy Robertson and Ben Davies has to poke it behind for a corner before Salah can get a shot off. Davies is fortunate too - the referee gives him a goal kick.

Trent Alexander-Arnold whips a dangerous ball in with pace. Emerson Royal gets his head on it and Thiago can't control it on the edge of the box. Fabinho then presses the defence immediately but it's booted away.

Great work by Emerson Royal to win a throw-in off Sadio Mane after the winger was played in down the line by Andy Robertson. There's a smirk between the two afterwards as both appealled for it to go their way.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Graham Potter speaking to Sky Sports: "We've had a bit of pain here this season in terms of not winning in front of our supporters. We owe them one and it is a special evening for us. A fantastic performance and an amazing result.

"In an ideal world world you want to get your points at home but at the end of the day the most important thing is you get the points. But it was nice to give the supporters a game, a performance and memory. So we are delighted.

"We played well from the start I thought. We were the better team, they did everything they could and what we asked them to do."

On Moises Caicedo scoring his first goal: "He has the ability to do it. It's just getting in the right places and thankfully he did today. I'm really happy for him."

On how the club's recruitment helps them compete with bigger clubs in the Premier League: "It's a collective. I've always spoken about how we can't compete financially. We have to be aligned with how we play and it is important we bring in the right charters with the right attributes.

"You have to suffer because Brighton are not one of the big guys so there will be times where it is tough. But it is a good football club with good people."

It's settled down a little. Tottenham are seeing more of the ball and seem to have grown more comfortable with the hostile atmosphere for now.

Manchester United

Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We can only apologise to the supporters who came all the way to Brighton, we just weren't good enough. The only time we were a little stable at the back was when we played with a back three in the last 15, 20 minutes but it was not good enough in all aspects of the game. We had problems earlier in the season; I saw we lost 4-1 to Watford, who are now relegated. The problem this team has is how to defend as a team; we are not good enough.

"It is not a question of individual quality. We showed that in other games, when we beat Tottenham and West Ham at home and Leeds away. It is a problem of energy and defending as a team. We need to show a different face in the final game because we will need one or three points to make sure we qualify for the Europa League. At times today it looked like we were on the summer break and that is what we need to make up for against Crystal Palace."

Brief break in play as Dejan Kulusevski needs some treatment after a challenge with Thiago. It looks like he'll be OK to carry on.

That threat on the break is still there from Spurs. Harry Kane has space in the box after a neat, floated pass from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg but his shot is well blocked by Jordan Henderson.
