Rondon has come on to try and win the game not cost the game. He hasn't had a great time here at Everton and he has the chance to win the fans over and be a hero. He goes on and it's a crazy decision from Rondon, there is no need for it. It's a two-footed lunge on the touchline and you feel that's it now for Everton.

The substitute has just come on but now he is sent off for a terrible foul on Rico Henry, he just launched himself into him.

Brentford have dropped right back now but the pressure is relieved on their defence as Abdoulaye Doucoure holds back Mathias Jensen to give away a free kick.

Alan: Everton don't actually need a point here. Both Burnley and Leeds below them, particularly Leeds are in more perilous positions with just one or two games left.

Janet: The injustice of the decisions made today are just appalling. I am sure the neutrals think it is great but I cannot cope. I thought my afternoon was just going to be perfect after the other results.

Brentford have been comfortably on top for large periods of this half but there's signs that Everton are starting to put on a bit of pressure themselves now. They need to, otherwise it is going to be a very tense final couple of games.

Jonjoe Kenny makes an important intervention to cut out a ball through the defence that was aimed at Ivan Toney.

Abdoulaye Doucoure meets the free kick but his header is tipped by David Raya into the sidenetting. The corner then comes to nothing.

Richarlison does well to win a free kick on the left and that relieves some pressure on the Everton defence as well as giving them a chance of an equaliser from a set piece...

Brentford make their third change as Mads Roerslev comes on for Yoane Wissa.

Wasted opportunity for Brentford as they break quickly. The ball is played to Bryan Mbeumo on the right side of the area but he gets his shot all wrong as he scoops it high over the bar.

Jay: As an Everton fan I'm back to checking Burnley's and Leeds fixtures after convincing myself we were safe!

George Powell: We’ll get Frank to write another letter to the FA about poor decisions costing us and get an ‘apology’. Fingers crossed we can trade those apologies in for some bonus points at the end of the season.

Everton make a double change as they look to rescue this.

Before the game Everton knew if they won the game they would be safe. Now it's about pulling level and even if they take a draw from this game it is not a disaster. Leeds and Burnley still have to win their games in order for Everton to finish in those bottom positions. It's still in Everton's hands and they can still get back into this game. They need to show a little bit more in attack. You have to be throwing punches when you're defending as well which they haven't done in the second half, but they have to find something now.

Goodison Park was bouncing for much of the first half but there's no celebratory mood now. They are getting a bit restless as Brentford keep on attacking.

That's what those two goals does to the table as things stand. Everton have a home game against Crystal Palace and then a trip to Arsenal coming up.

Still plenty of time left in this game to get back level but they won't want to be going to the Gunners needing a result.

It's another magnificent header from Rico Henry. Anthony Gordon at the back post allows the run and when he gets in there it's a magnificent header. Pickford again had no chance and it's very tough for Everton because Brentford have the extra man and full credit to them, they are using him magnificently. What a cross in and what a header. Everton have it all to do now to get back level.
