    Everton 1-1 Wolves

    Steve Sutcliffe
    BBC Sport at Goodison Park

Huge groans around Goodison Park when Everton's Anthony Gordon failed to hit the back of the net from Idrissa Gueye's incisive pass.

Jose Sa did superbly well to read it in the Wolves goal but Gordon will feel he should be scoring from there.

    Romain Perraud (OG)

Anyone get a VHS for Christmas? This is one for Own Goals and Gaffes.

Brighton's Pervis Estupinan whips a lovely ball in from the left, causing all sorts of panic in the Southampton defence.

Saints left-back Romain Perraud manages to get there first before Solly March but gets his feet in a tangle under pressure - perhaps also caught out by a deflection - and can only kick into his own net.

Good to see Nathan Jones has put five weeks off with the Southampton squad to good use. Picked up where we left off under Hasenhuttl.

    Leicester 0-3 Newcastle

    Mantej Mann
BBC Sport at King Power Stadium

Youri Tielemans was assigned the task of marking Joelinton at the corner, and he completely lost his man.

Leicester have been off the pace in defence.

"We're gonna win the league" is the chant from the away end...

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Everton 1-1 Wolves

Everton almost retake the lead but Jose Sa makes a superb stop low to his left, pushing the ball away from Anthony Gordon's low shot after being slipped in by Idrissa Gueye.

    Southampton 0-1 Brighton

Southampton have managed to up the intensity as we pass the half-hour mark at St Mary's, pressing a bit keener and spending more time in the Brighton half.

However, the away fans singing 'you're going down with the Palace' tells you everything about how comfortable they feel the match is going for them.

  7. 'A bullet header'published at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Leicester 0-3 Newcastle

    Steve Stone
Former England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

It was an absolute bullet of a header. There is a big space at the back post for Joelinton. It is going to be really difficult for Leicester now. That third goal is surely going to kill them off.

Youri Tielemans and Joe Willock have a bit of beef in midfield with some pushing and shoving but Australian ref Jarred Gillett calms things down.

Palace might have just hit the bar, but Fulham deserve this opening goal.

A loose ball out from the back by Joachim Andersen is latched onto by Kenny Tete about 35 yards from the Palace goal.

Tete finds Aleksandar Mitrovic on the right wing and he whips in a lovely outswinging cross for Bobby Decordova-Reid to score with a glancing header.

  10. CLOSE!published at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Everton 1-1 Wolves

    Much better from Wolves.

Hugo Bueno gets on his bike down the left and feeds in a cross which Diego Costa meets with a diving header, but it lacks power and Jordan Pickford can easily collect.

Gbenga: Give Almiron the player of the season already. Man is bonkers this term and it looks like Grealish decided to unleash a monster. Glad I got him in for my FPL!

    Leicester 0-3 Newcastle

    Mantej Mann
BBC Sport at King Power Stadium

Eddie Howe is crouched down in his dugout and calmly jotting down a few thoughts in his notebook.

Just metres away, Brendan Rodgers whistles and hurls instructions at his players. It's quite the contrast.

No prizes for guessing who will be the happier after half an hour.

  13. 'Pickford will be asking questions'published at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Everton 1-1 Wolves

    Carlton Cole
Former West Ham striker on Final Score

Podence is quite small, so I can see how he could be quite evasive. But Jordan Pickford is going to be asking his defence at half-time how he's got free at the far post.

Moutinho just lofted it. Podence was on the move and slotted it past Pickford, who must be looking at his defence and asking questions.

    Everton 1-1 Wolves

    What are Wolves playing at??

The visitors are all over the place at the back allowing Neal Maupay a run through on goal from the halfway line.

It's a footrace towards goal but Nelson Semedo does well to bump the Frenchman off the ball and Jose Sa can clear.

No he can't, it's a total miskick and now it's a open net to aim at, but no Toffees player can capitalise and Julen Lopetegui's men eventually survive.

    Joelinton (32 mins)

This game is surely over now.

Toon midfielder Joelinton powers in a header from Kieran Trippier's corner. Not great defending,

  16. Postpublished at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Leicester 0-2 Newcastle

Leicester keeper Danny Ward races out of his box to stop Joelinton and *just* succeeds. For a moment it looked as if Joelinton was going to go round him.

The Foxes had nine players involved there as Patson Daka and Harvey Barnes ran into each other and were on the ground. They're OK though.

    Southampton 0-1 Brighton

Southampton win a free-kick just outside the Brighton area when highly-rated teenager Samuel Edozie is shoved over by Solly March.

That could be an expensive mistake. We're in prime James Ward-Prowse real estate...

The Saints skipper curls it sweetly towards the left-hand post but the ball goes past the wrong side of the post as far as the home side are concerned.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Fulham

Michael Olise picks it up in midfield and charges forward before laying it off towards Jordan Ayew on the edge of the Fulham box. It takes a touch off a Fulham defender but Ayew still manages to latch onto it and fires a shot against the top of the crossbar.

The visitors have bossed possession so far, but that's the closest yet that either side have come to scoring.

    Leicester 0-2 Newcastle

Patson Daka is definitely growing into this game. Three times the Leicester striker has looked set to race away, although none of them have ended particularly well. Still better than the nothing they offered in the first 20 minutes or so.
