    Everton 1-1 Wolves

A sight of goal for Anthony Gordon and he should be doing better.

The Everton forward is found in the box by Vitaliy Mykolenko's pass, but he can't control it and two Wolves players get back to snuff out the danger.

    Southampton 0-1 Brighton

Since creating those couple of opportunities early on, Southampton have run out of ideas.

They've barely been out of their own half in the past 10 minutes.

Now they need to deal with an attacking free-kick for Brighton. Lyanco is well placed to head clear Pervis Estupinan's nod back from the byline.

    Leicester 0-2 Newcastle

Leicester striker Patson Daka has a chance to race through on goal but he dawdles and Sven Botman nicks the ball off him.

Daka had options to pass to as well. A waste.

Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui is prowling his technical area in just a long-sleeve polo which is some going given the chilly breeze swirling around Goodison Park.

He kept his arms folded when Daniel Podence scored but he'll surely be delighted by such a well-worked equaliser.

There had been signs his team were starting to find their rhythm prior to that goal.

Newcastle striker Chris Wood has touched the ball four times - one of those was his goal.

Five now, as he tries to head the ball down to Sean Longstaff.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Fulham

Palace go direct, with Joachim Andersen's through-ball from the back playing in Jordan Ayew. He helps it on to Wilfried Zaha but Fulham bundle it behind for the hosts' first corner, which doesn't cause any trouble for the Cottagers.

Everton will be really disappointed with that goal from Daniel Podence. Jordan Pickford is not happy, but Podence is celebrating by putting the ball up his shirt.

Agonising for Leicester. Patson Daka is played in and Nick Pope dives at his feet to stop the ball. But it ricochets off Daka and rolls towards the goal, only for Sven Botman to clear from near the line. That would have been a weird one. There were some weak penalty shouts as Daka went down after Pope's dive - but nah.

  9. Brisk starters Brighton strike againpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Southampton 0-1 Brighton

Brighton have taken the lead in each of their last four Premier League matches. This is the latest they have opened the scoring in any of those games.

The Seagulls threaten again down the left - where they are finding plenty of space - but Saints keeper Gavin Bazuna races out of his box to slide in and clear.

    Manuel Neueresque.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Fulham

Palace finally have a chance to get the ball into Fulham's box but Michael Olise's free-kick is easily dealt with and Palace centre-half James Tomkins is booked for pulling Aleksandar Mitrovic's shirt as the Fulgam striker looks to break.

GOAL - Everton 1-1 Wolvespublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Daniel Podence (21 mins)

    Wolves are level.

They work a training ground corner as the ball is chipped to the back of the area for Joao Moutinho.

The Portuguese midfielder expertly takes it down before lacing a clever lofted pass to the far post where compatriot Daniel Podence is on hand to convert a first time finish.

Podence wheels away to celebrate with the football up his jumper.

It's a nice glancing header from Adam Lallana but what a mistake from Gavin Bazunu - he's got to be saving that.

  13. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Southampton 0-1 Brighton

"If you put sky blue shirts on this Brighton shirt, you could be watching Manchester City," enthuses former England boss Glenn Hoddle on Amazon Prime.

The visitors have had almost 80% possession so far, with their movement causing problems for Southampton.

A cross from the Brighton left is gathered by Gavin Bazunu, who probably needed a stomach-settling save.

  18. Postpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

  20. goal

GOAL - Southampton 0-1 Brightonpublished at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2022

    Adam Lallana (14 mins)

Beautiful! Brighton's patience has paid off.

Adam Lallana, the former Saints skipper, comes back to haunt the club where he made his name and had so much success.

The former England midfielder turns sharply about 25 yards out, lays off to Solly March and continues his run to head past Gavin Bazuna.

The keeper has dished out a present there, to be honest. Shouldn't be letting that get past him.
