  1. Postpublished at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Man City 3-0 Brighton

We saw Chloe Kelly's in-swinging corner from the left cause huge problems leading to City's first goal and Brighton almost get themselves on the scoresheet with a mirror image from the right.

Ellie Roebuck is just able to claw it away before the ball is lumped down field. Close for Brighton, though.

  2. Postpublished at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Liverpool 2-0 West Ham

Megan Campbell might be carrying an injury after that knock earlier, but she is not shying away from any tackles, throwing herself in the way of a West Ham shot as Liverpool maintain this two-goal advantage with 15 minutes remaining.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Man City 3-0 Brighton

Deyna Castellanos is taken off and replaced by Ruby Mace.

A little over 15 minutes remaining and after an imperious performance first half, it's been pretty scrappy from Manchester City in the second.

Good bit of quality from Lee Geum-Min, working it down on the right-hand side. Katie Robinson is a real threat when she gets the ball further up the pitch. Brighton need to put high pressure on those Man City players.

  5. Postpublished at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Man City 3-0 Brighton

Into the last 20 minutes and Brighton are not going away. Khadija Shaw loses possession, the visitors break and Danielle Carter is put through.

The striker doesn't have the pace to get away from Alex Greenwood but does get into the box and works space for a shot, deflected out for a corner.

    Nothing doing from the corner.

  6. Postpublished at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Liverpool 2-0 West Ham

Another head injury for Liverpool. This time goalscorer Katie Stengel is down. Thankfully, she gets back to her feet after treatment.

  7. Postpublished at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Man City 3-0 Brighton

Nice move from Manchester City, just giving Brighton a reminder of the threat they pose. A sharp counter down the right ends with them winning a corner.

The initial corner is only half-cleared after Filippa Angeldahl's shot is blocked and Alex Greenwood then cuts the ball back for Deyna Castellanos. The shot is blocked again.

Good to see Esme Morgan back on the pitch. It's a battle between her and Kerstin Casparij for the right-back positions so she would want to come on and do a good job.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Liverpool 2-0 West Ham

A bit of concern here - Katie Stengel has gone down for Liverpool following a clash of heads.

Hammers manager Paul Konchesky takes the opportunity to make a change of his own, throwing on Thea Kyvag in place of Katie Smith.

Stengel is OK but Megan Campbell also requires treatment for Liverpool. She is back on her feet, albeit gingerly.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Man City 3-0 Brighton

Double change for the home side. Chloe Kelly and Kerstin Casparij make way for Hayley Raso and Esme Morgan.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Liverpool 2-0 West Ham

Liverpool manager Matt Beard has played his hand, bringing on Missy Bo Kearns for Shanice van de Sanden.

  12. 'Brighton on front foot'published at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Man City 3-0 Brighton

Whatever Amy Merricks has said at half-time, you can see the Brighton players have come out on the front foot. They haven't rolled over yet.

  13. Postpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Liverpool 2-0 West Ham

West Ham are building their first concerted period of pressure in this match.

It's important to remember that the Hammers started the day fifth in the table, seven points and five places better off than Liverpool.

Reds manager Matt Beard is shouting to his substitutes, who have been warming up throughout the second half.

Just under 30 minutes remaining here.

  14. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Man City 3-0 Brighton

Brighton look a different side since the break and Laia Aleixandri is relieved not to see a visiting player behind her after she makes a mess of a clearance inside her own area.

City deal with a corner soon after but as we reach the hour mark, the home side will know that they need to stayed focused if they are to avoid letting Brighton back into this game.

  15. Postpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Man City 3-0 Brighton

Chloe Kelly bursts down the right for Man City once more and pulls a low cross back to the penalty spot. Filippa Angeldahl is there but scuffs the shot and it bounces wide of the keeper's left-hand post.

City didn't take kindly to Brighton's brief attempt to play in their half and now the home side are pushing them back again.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Liverpool 2-0 West Ham

Liverpool have picked up where they left off, with Melissa Lawley and Ceri Holland terrorising the West Ham defence on either flank.

This time, Lawley cut in from the left and powered a curling shot towards goal that was headed clear.

She then popped up on the right and found Shanice van de Sanden at the far post with a searching ball across the West Ham goal, but the Reds forward could only put her shot into the side netting.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Man City 3-0 Brighton

Leila Ouahabi goes into the book for a late tackle on Katie Robinson, who has been unusually quiet so far. The way City have bossed possession has limited her chances to make much of an impact.

The free-kick comes to nothing but Brighton are showing a bit more in an attacking sense already in this second half.

  18. Postpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Man City 3-0 Brighton

A shot on target for Brighton and it brings a solitary ironic cheer from the crowd.

Jorja Fox took it on from long range but it was an easy one for Ellie Roebuck with the ball bobbling gently towards her.

  19. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Man City 3-0 Brighton

City are a post's width away from making it four.

Chloe Kelly - who else? - creating the chance, coming in from the right and playing a reverse pass through to Deyna Castellanos.

The Venezuelan tries to sneak the ball in at the near post, beats Megan Walsh but the ball hits the woodwork and goes out for a goal kick.

  20. Postpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 4 December 2022

    Liverpool 2-0 West Ham

    No changes in personnel.

West Ham just made that one switch in the first half, with Hawa Cissoko replacing Isibeal Atkinson.
