Leicester's Timothy Castagne: "It was big. It is just a point but for us it is very important. We had some games where we didn't fight enough.

"But today we did everything. The guys coming off the pitch, you can see we did everything.

"I think today we showed we can fight. But we've seen this season we have been inconsistent. If we come into other games with this mindset [we should be alright]"

Joao Felix is a lively presence in this game.

This isn't his best work, though - a chipped cross that lands on the roof of the Everton net.

Everton threaten!

A free-kick is pumped forward, cleared and then volleyed back into the box, where James Tarkowski rises but sends the ball tamely wide.

He wants a corner. He doesn't get one.

And now a brave save from Jordan Pickford.

A low cross from the left is poked on by Ben Chilwell and the Toffees keeper has to risk a mouthful of boot to dive on the ball ahead of Joao Felix.

Kai Havertz looks to find the far corner of the Everton net from the edge of the box but he doesn't get the pace and precision he is hoping for.

Felix played the right ball but it was decent defending from Everton positionally.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham's Eric Dier speaking to Premier League productions: "Sloppy mistakes. We lost possession easily, we didn't have control of the game at 3-1 when we should have. Really poor goals.

"We shouldn't let them back into the game. They lost both their centre-backs and we should cause them a lot more problems.

"We only have ourselves to blame.

"There will be lots of ups and downs for everybody fighting for top four and relegation. It will definitely go down to the last couple of weeks of the season. We need to find some consistency.

Chelsea cut through Everton but the pass inside from Joao Felix that would release Kai Havertz takes a deflection off an Everton player and the chance is gone.

Dwight McNeil tries to upset the odds with a shot from range. His radar isn't working as it should, though, and the effort sails over.

This is not sophisticated football that Everton are trying to play but that doesn't matter, as long as it is effective and it has been fairly effective since Sean Dyche came.

Chelsea guilty of over-laying a bit. Christian Pulisic takes up a great position to receive the ball between the Everton midfield and defence. He lays off wide to Ben Chilwell, but Joao Felix's first-time pass to Kai Havertz is poor and cut out.

Finally, Everton get hold of the ball for a little bit. They manage to get Alex Iwobi away down the right, but he has company and can only chip a tame cross straight to Kepa.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Gary O'Neil to Sky Sports: "I thought the game was in the balance for long periods. We were slow out the blocks and didn't look like ourselves for the first ten minutes and Villa punished us.

"At 1-0 we had chances and created things then at the end we opened it up and the scoreline made it look worse than it was. We weren't clinical enough."

On conceding early: "We knew Villa would want to start fast. The response was good, we had control and created chances but we didn't make it 1-1. If we did, the game could have looked very different. A disappointing day."

Very tough for Demarai Gary and Everton because there doesn't seem to be an out ball at the moment.

Kai Havertz rises at the near post to meet Ben Chilwell's corner. He is moving away from goal and can only make contact with his shoulder to send the ball wide.

Reece James and Ben Chilwell are pretty much playing as wide forwards, Chelsea are so advanced up the pitch.

At the moment, the player who is standing out for me for Everton is Alex Iwobi. Really really impressive.

Over on the right hand side, he has had to do all of the defending but his physicality and pace has really helped the team so far.

Everton are struggling to get any meaningful touches of the ball.
