    Blackburn make their second change.

Tyrhys Dolan is off and Ryan Hedges is on.

Fifteen minutes of normal time remains but expect a fair chunk of injury time to close this game out.

Blackburn's Harry Leonard shows good instinct for a kid there.

He's alert and he knows where the goal is, but that's a top-drawer save by Tomas Vaclik.

    Huddersfield 2-1 Blackburn

Blackburn's young substitute Harry Leonard controls the ball on the edge of the box, with two Huddersfield players around him, he turns and strikes on goal.

But his low shot is denied by Tomas Vaclik who has made some excellent saves for Huddersfield this game.

Huddersfield's first shot on goal in this second half is blocked and goes out for a corner.

A chance for the hosts to catch their breath and have a break from defending.

The corner is high and sails toward the edge of the box and is cleared by Blackburn.

    And breathe...

Good save from the Huddersfield keeper Tomas Vaclik who charged off his line to shut down another Blackburn attack.

He slid to make a block and then re-gathered himself, darted to his left and made a powerful low save on the edge of the six-yard box.

The flag was up for offside but boy-oh-boy Rovers look dangerous right now.

The rain is still hammering down in Huddersfield but it’s the away side that have put the hammer down so far.

A really well-worked goal by Rankin-Costello has got them back in it, and they haven’t let up since.

Jon Dahl Tomasson is soaked in his coat, hood down and on the edge of his technical area geeing his players up.

His opposite number is cutting a similar sight. Neil Warnock is still heading every ball at 74.

Blackburn are off the mat and playing like they have a belly full of bees right now.

Ben Brereton Diaz, Joe Rankin-Costello and Sammie Szmodics are all causing problems.

But Huddersfield have loads of bodies back and are getting enough blocks in to repel the rampant visitors.

    Huddersfield 2-1 Blackburn

Another corner for Blackburn, who pass it back to almost the halfway line, before firing it back into the box.

But it is cleared by Huddersfield.

They obviously had a type of set-play in mind there, but it seemed a little wasteful.

The crowd at the John Smith's Stadium are getting loud.

I would love to know what Blackburn manager Jon Dahl Tomasson said to his side in the dressing room at half-time.

Whatever he said... it seems to have worked.

    What a response from Rovers.

    Good game this.

Fantastic play - Joe Rankin-Costello plays a one-two and then dinks it over the keeper.

Can Blackburn now grow in stature, can they keep going?

They've been the dominant side for most of the game, but can they keep creating opportunities?

    What a start for Blackburn.

Fantastic play from Joe Rankin-Costello, who plays a neat one-two on the nearside edge of the box.

He charges in, collects the pass and flicks it over the keeper.

The players are back out and we are back under way at a rain-soaked John Smith's Stadium.

Just looking at some of the first half stats.

Huddersfield had two shots on target and just 21% possession.

Blackburn had three shots on and 79% possession.

Can Rovers turn it around? They have a mountain to climb.

The rain is belting down at the John Smith's Stadium in Huddersfield.

The pitch is soaked and the forecast doesn't look like the weather is going to get any better.

You could see toward the end of the first half how the ball was sliding and skidding across the surface but then getting held up in the grass.

The ground staff and referee will be keeping a close eye on things - we will keep you posted.

    HT: Huddersfield 2-0 Blackburn

Blackburn have played well - they were so dominant it was unbelievable.

But then all of a sudden the back door gets left open, Huddersfield slip in and score two goals.

Now Rovers have got to add that end product and score the goals - that's going to be a tall ask in the second half.

An impressive Huddersfield are firmly in control at a rain soaked John Smith's Stadium - they're well set for a fourth win in a way to more further clear of the bottom three.

Blackburn have dominated possession but have given the ball away cheaply and defended poorly.

Jon Dahl Tomasson's side have a massive job to do if they want to get back into this one and stay in the play-off race.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 45 mins

Huddersfield's Josh Koroma is brought down on the edge of the box by Blackburn's Joe Rankin-Costello. Yellow card.

    It's a free-kick from a dangerous central position about 10 yards out.

But it's blasted into the wall.

    A few seconds left now.

When Huddersfield centre-back Matty Pearson scored what was his fifth goal of the season, the announcer called him the “Keighley Cannavaro”.

Fabio scored only five league goals in more than Serie A 200 games for Parma, six for Juventus and none at Real Madrid. They need a new nickname for him surely?!
